Don't Be a Wimp (Trigger Warning)

This may not be our most popular post ever (or granular from a technical perspective), however, I was asked the other day what words I would give a young person or myself in this or any business.
As Howard Marks said "experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted" - But the question is what do we do with this experience?
Sometimes, rather most times, it's not brilliance that wins the race - Instead more of a willingness to be critical of ourselves and improve instead of looking for a rationale as to why something we wanted didn't happen.
Even if we can convince others, in the quiet of the night only we know the truth as to whether every last ounce of effort was actually allocated to something, and whether every avenue of avoidable distraction/stupidity was avoided.
This isn't us preaching from the pulpit, but precisely what we tell ourselves at our company everyday.
