What is very interesting is that, in these Final Fantasy Crossover games, it is always very heavily hinted that Sephiroth should be considered a hero, fallen, but a hero nontheless. In both Dissidia games, when he vanishes he does so with a flash of white light and can summon his weapons with a similar flash of light, like the heroes of Cosmos do and in contrast to his allies who have a dark aura effect when they vanish. In this game he appears as a summonable hero too.
Makes sense. Everything happened cause of Hojo’s madness. If he had been defeated earlier, Seph would have been raised by his mom (not Jenova) and Vincent.

Lolz you actually already have him. Once you get to the mysterious door and talk to the girl in the tea room, she'll explain how to gain champions. Once you get Warrior of Light, Sephiroth will already be in your case to.choose from :)

I'm having a really conflicted feeling with sephiroth now, how can the most badass FF villian can be so cute while replaying the most chilling scene (turningbackthroughfires) in ffvii, HAH he doesnt even use Masamune, all he had to do is casting meteor spell and thats it

I have never played a Final Fantasy game but the chibi looks with the mature voices makes this the cutest thing I have seen all day.

Well, Terra in the magitec armor IS more famous and recognizable than her Trance form (mostly due to the last being an spoiler and she in the armor is the first you see in the game), just like humanoid Sephirot is more popular than his ultimate, more powerful form.

The one thing I'm glad is they have Terra with green hair instead of blonde like Dissidia.
You get to choose green as alt color I believe.
Green is her only colour in this game, unless you were talking about Dissidia (directed at Sushi).

They go all out with Omnislash and Squall gets this treatment. I'm not asking for some special treatment here. They already have a complete lionheart. Why nerf it to holy hell?
Cloud is using his vastly upgraded Omnislash from Advent Children (which I presume the remake will be using too) whereas Squall is really close to the original Renzokuken - and in fact this version is flashier. If FF8 had a movie the move would look better too.
You want to know who got the nerf? Terra didn't get to keep Trance.

Squall's Lionheart never gets the light it deserves lol. Lionheart hit like what, 18 times in the original? Why in Dissidia and this does it only include the final attack lol.
Cause it would steal too much of Cloud's thunder. (no pun intended)

Yep, totally didn't expect that at all! So following that theory, it's possible we might see future DLC for X-2 Paine or CC Cisnei, maybe even a Tactics character.

wow squall got shafted a bit yet all that extra work for lightning and cloud and sephiroth as usual. and no FFIV or FFIX? like seriously, I love VII as a game but sometimes it gets to be too much of VII.
Rydia is in the game, just not a summon. Vivi is also in the game, you even have a Boss fight against him and his army.
oh yea? nice I hadnt seen any news about them at all and havent got the game so very cool to hear!. Idk I am still disappointed on Squalls lionheart though but clouds and lightnings is so great. lol. Squall was the OTHER user of a move like omnislash just kinda sad is all. oh well not everyone appreciates VIII as much as the other games.
Ryokoshii I'm more disappointed about the pre order bonus Sephiroth. I only got the game on day 1 cause I thought it would be an AOE, turns out it's not and only hits 1 target. Whats sad about Cloud's and Lighting's summon is that they cost more then regular and they still do around the same amount of damage as the other ones that cost only 1 gauge. (At least when I summon them they do between 1500 - 3000 points of damage, same as Tifa's or Squall's summons which cost only 1 gauge.) Snow is the only summon who has an AOE attack sadly. Hopefully when Sora comes out next year he will also be an AOE.

Look at it this way, out of all the final fantasy games, and all the characters in those games, Tifa was one of the few who got to be a summon, even over other FF7 party members, that's pretty great.

Gestalt Drive has more hits than Lionheart? You gotta be sh*tting me SE. You gimped the renzokuken from the maximum possible hits of 8 to 3. F*cking 3. THEN, Lionheart was reduced from 17 TO a whopping 1 slash. Wow. Just wow. You fluff the hell out of Omnislash and Gestalt but then you do this to Squall? So 3 dissidias and now this? Is someone on that dev team out to get Squall or something?

I think they should have either a Noctis or Luna DLC Champion Summon in the future;
Noctis summon (Armiger) would have him summon the Thirteen Royal Arms, and Luna's summon (Covenant) would allow her to regenerate the party's HP.
I dunno, I think it's a a good idea. Don't know if the names suit the summon ideas.
...of all the things they coulda made Terra's attack...why go with the Mech?? She's a freaking eidolon for fuck's sake! I mean I'm glad she and Celes are in the game, and Squall, more than I can say for 4 or 2 :T

I wouldn't hold my breath. IX was the product of the original heart of the Final Fantasy team, most of those members have left Square and the people working on FF now have no real love or interest in IX. I could be wrong but considering what Nomura did to Vivi in KH2, and I'm kinda sceptical about the attention they gave IX in this game considering they literally just pick the 2 cute characters.
