      @@KarenRiceArt I was about to give up on watercolour but you explained it so well. Do you have any tutorials on trees and landscapes that are bright and colourful? Is it better to use tubes and can I squeeze them into box with blocks of paint?

    Hello Karen, that is an extremly helpful video for me. I realize in the "don`ts" some mistakes I usually make and I have to practice more with the right consistency of the color. I´m following your channel quite a while and like your demos. But most of them are a bit intimidating for me especially when they contain drawings. Will try this one at the weekend :-)

      @@KarenRiceArt so I did another one of this on better paper which made a huge difference and I am much happier with the result. Just recently received a new brush, an Escoda 14 round and was happy to break it in on this. Thank you.

    Hello Karen, I did the painting and I was amazed at the result. I had a few issues which were totally my fault, like not sufficiently loading up my brush for the first wash, and not being gentle when lifting paint in the final stage. I’m hooked and now I want to try again! Thank you so much for your expertise! 🤩

    How do you rescue a landscape painting where the first wash goes horribly wrong like the right side ? I watched your latest video for abstract painting, what about when we have to paint a specific scene. Do tell mam as I have binned a few landscapes as a beginner. Just a suggestion, thanks. Quite helpful as always.

    Thank you for the lesson, what does tone and artistic licence mean?

    • @KarenRiceArt
      @KarenRiceArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Tone = light and dark - shading. Artistic licence = use your own ideas and creativity.
