      +1 for the Tempus. My first pair went 750 miles, currently up to just under 400 in my second pair. No arch issues here. Really pleased the V2 is an upper only update, as it means I'll be able to pick up my third and fourth pairs of Tempus V1 for a great price later next year.

    For me I use the Saucony Tempus as a race day/faster workout shoe. By far the fastest and most enjoyable stability shoe I’ve had.
    But still I always have a trusty pair of Brooks Adrenalines to fall back on. They are the best shoe to lace up and go out for a plod around the block. Perfect for those days where you can forget about the shoe and just enjoy the run.

    I also love The Saucony Tempus, but I have to say that I’m impressed with the grip on the Puma Forever Runs that I’ve got. I’m using the Pumas as Winter running shoes, because the grip gives me confidence on wet leaves and the like. I’m really looking forward to the Saucony Tempus 2 though, can’t wait for it to come out.

    The Puma Forever Run is a fantastic shoe. Super smooth and supportive, a real joy to run in. Plus, you can find it for mucho dinero cheaper than the Asics and NB shoes mentioned here. Factor in the longevity of the sole and it really is a great support shoe and excellent value.

  • @Nick-pk4sq

    I’ve got the Guide 15 and it’s great for shorter easy runs, particularly when you’re recovering from a longer run. And very cheap - there are some good deals on the 16, too. For anything over half marathon distance it’s quite firm, though. I’ve also got the Tempus which has seen me through two marathons this year and which I love. Comfortable, enough guidance, and I don’t find issues with the arch thankfully. But it never really comes down in price despite being nearly two years old now!

    So many great shoes with high to minor stability around ... the three models I liked the most and I got them in 2023 : Asics GT 2000 12 , Nike Structure 25 and the Adidas SolarBoost 5 .
    Honorary mention to the Adidas SolarGlide line that is always a great fantastic stability shoes with a very good guidance system.

    Im still on the tempus, but I’ve also ended up using more stable neutral shoes like the Boston 12 and I’ve been fine. The lines between stability and neutral are blurring in places

    I’ve got the Forever Run Nitro, 2 x Guide 15s and the Tempus. I honestly think the Tempus is the best stability shoe ever, I’ve smashed my PBs in it this year (I’ve also trained better so maybe it’s that 😂). The outsole isn’t that durable but I don’t think the Puma is either really. The 2000-12 is probably my next purchase though, they look great.

      Same! I love the Tempus and went to check out other shoes. I really liked the GT 2000-12 and the Vongo6s. Did you end up getting the GT2000-12s? How’d you like them? I also like the Altra Paradigms very much

  • @daymonclayton6388
    @daymonclayton6388 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    For pure comfort it would be my Altra Paradigms, but the outsole just didn’t last long enough to justify getting another pair. But for my faster efforts, nothing performs like my Saucony Tempus. If I could only have one shoe for all types of training and races, it would be the Tempus. It really can do it all.

    • @haryowijoyo5979
      @haryowijoyo5979 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@scottashdown3686 the gt2k is definitely lighter, peppier and cushy for longer run. But back then, the 860v13 cost $40. So i went with the cheaper. Nb860v13 was my only shoes back then.. does everything with it, daily to half races. now it serves as daily and longer run or any run where i just need to be in auto cruise mode and just enjoy everything. It gives the secure and stable feelings when my body kinda sore, tired but still wanna go run/jog/power walk for meditational purpose.
      Gt2k still better for faster pace and races. However, Just go with whatever fits your feet anatomy and budgets. Never had blisters or anything with both. 860v13 is definitely more stable and secure than gt2k, also heavier. But probably gonna be hella cheaper now that v14 is already released.

    Mizuno Wave Horizon 6. Built like a tank and I love it.

  • @dtranger
    @dtranger 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love the Saucony Tempus because it’s so lightweight. Right now I’m running in the Keyano and the Vongo. The Vongo doesn’t feel as heavy as it is when you run in it. I have to be very careful selecting my stability shoes as my right foot is completely normal and average and doesn’t need stability. My left foot has a low arch, not flat foot but lower than average. As a result I experience Metatarsalgia at toes 2and 3 and the sensation in the ball of my left foot like it’s hitting the pavement barefoot. When I run in a stability shoe all those symptoms disappear but if the medial post is too hard my right arch is uncomfortable. At the running shoe store they recommend buying neutral shoes and a custom made insert for $150 😮 They said I don’t need stability because my ankles don’t roll in and are aligned so neutral. But the symptoms on my left foot are undoubtedly the arch collapsing flat. I think all that means I need a stability shoe that is not too extreme for my neutral right foot. Difficult!

    Put them in a bag and throw them out the window. Then go and buy the Tempus.
    Only joking, the Tempus for me though.
    With the arch issue, I think I know the issue. I have the Tempus in a 10. I am a size 9.5, but I need the extra room, for my flat foot collapse increase in length. The arch fits perfectly.
    I recently bought a 10.5 to train in for an ultra. The extra 1/2 for foot 🦶 swell over long distances. The extra 1/2 made a difference and I could feel the uncomfortable arch under foot. I think the last one my 10.5 is similar to the larger sizes, with the arch support further forward.
