    What has been your favourite purchase this year?

      A red fleece from Uniqlo! I enjoy wearing it so much, especially during winter!

      An elegant yet comfortable knit dress. It looks like an evening dress, but is warm and stretchy. Perfect for any festive occasion.

      This year I got a white blazer which I love because it’s nice to have lighter workwear vs. black all the time but it’s still neutral so completely versatile. I also got a burgundy sweater which I love for more casual days, and a plaited black leather belt in my “new” (current) waistband size. Not purchases, but I had several handbags and shoes repaired & I’m very happy with those, too. I got a purple hat, scarf & glove set for Christmas which I’ve already worn twice & look forward to wearing a lot more before May.

      I've been a burgundy bag girl for 5+ years before it became a trend so I already have one, I also have winter knee-high shoes in cherry suede to go with it and I wear them all the time (once the snow comes). So this year I intentionally bought burgundy boots for spring/fall/rainy days. They were about $8 secondhand and they've become my go-to whenever I leave the house, so cost per wear is already down to cents. I feel so chic yet comfortable with such a twist of colour!
      I am also looking to buy a new bag once the trend passes because mine is really worn out. I guess they would be on sale and in many thrift shops next spring :)

      Two V-neck cardigans in lilac and blue. I bought the lilac one secondhand and loved it so much that I bought almost the same one new in blue (bought it a size smaller so it fits differently, and the cut is a bit different, but they are 90% the same in different colours). I have worn each about 20 times since the summer.

    Honestly, it is soooo refreshing to hear someone say out loud: ‘ I can’t justify £120 on a single item’ . I’m a fashion and style lover in the UK, follow all the creators you featureed in your other video, also emigrated from Eastern Europe. I understand that as a person moves up the financial ladder for example because their TH-cam channel becomes successful, they can afford to spend more and it’s just what happens. While I’m happy for them, the other side effect is that their content becomes completely unrelatable and out of touch with the reality of the majority of their initial audience… For example I’ve been following Karen Britchick for years and she often used to do roundups of affordable style options, but the latest luxury content, while beautiful, it’s hard to relate to. All that to say, your attitude and honesty and down to earth practicality is a breath of fresh air ❤

      They are called “investment pieces” , but not affordable by normies 😢

    • @s.a.4358
      @s.a.4358 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is a big difference between paying £120 or £1200 for a bag though. Everyone has their own budget but comparing someone paying a few hundred pounds to someone buying luxury items all the time is a strange comparison.

      @szfrj 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@s.a.4358 yeah I get that everyone had their own budget and I’m of course completely fine with that. It’s just refreshing and great to find inspiration from a content creator that has a similar budget to me, and so it is relatable. I’ve not come across many

    Such a fun video. I usually do this type of review of my purchases too. I love the categories you chose! It definitely allows for accepting my ‘inclination’ toward happy little accidents. Thanks Mili. My favorite purchase is my silver Birkenstock slide sandals. Planned purchase for this year. So glad I went with silver instead of a neutral color.

    Looooved this video! Starting from how you named the categories 🤩
    I don't even know where to start, I got so many ideas out of this. THANK YOU!
    I didn't even imagine how many items you can buy second-hand. Never even occured to me to look for jewelry for instance.
    Love sneakers with a twist! Those Puma ones also have adorable bows :) I realized I never wear sneakers except for one pair with floral print but it's not always an option. I will look into suede ones, love the textures!
    Also red as a basic color. WOW. Definitely need to get my color analysis done.

    Ooh I love this video and it's interesting seeing your finds. You got so lucky with Vinted too!
    My equivalents would be:
    - Most worn: Black Hobbs wool coat (worn 90 times so far). I decided to get a wool coat with better pocket placement after losing a phone and also upgraded to wool, it's now my most worn winter coat.
    - Surprises: cream jumper (I had never owned a jumper in cream so didn't expect to wear as much as I did); black beret (have always struggled with hat styles I liked but this worked because it fit my personal style)
    - Happy accidents: polka dot blouse (bought on a whim from M&S, it has now become the default blouse to wear at work and also suits my everyday style, which is rare for officewear for me)
    - In loves: burgundy accessories (waist belt, jeans belt, boots; cross body bag and ballet flats). I used to only wear black as a neutral as I didn't care much for other colours as neutrals. I decided to make burgundy my second main neutral and it's given me mych more styling options!
    - Thoughtful: red wool coat - I knew I wanted one as I owned one in the past and wanted a colourful wool coat but didn't expect to find one that was quite feminine at an affordable price. I wasn't as lucky with Vinted though - I first got it in the right size but the brand ran small so I ended up selling the Vinted one and getting from the original site.

    This might sound ridiculous but: No Nonsense Super Opaque Control Top Tights in Black (Amazon).
    I love 60s-inspired fashion so I wear a lot of skirts, dresses and shorts even in the Canadian winter.
    These are just transparent enough to let my leg tattoos peek through, but sturdy for MANY wears and washes. They are, by a mile, the best nylons I’ve ever owned.
    (I tried to comment three times already, so if you get a duplicate, I’m sorry!)

    My best purchase this year has to be my brown tie dye velvet harem pants! I have worn them nearly every day in different ways this month no exaggeration. Sooo comfy but lux at the same time and the tie dye is subtle so it works like and interesting neutral. I want like 5 pairs because I'll be so sad when they wear out. I've been keeping my eyes open in the thrifting world for dupes to add to my wardrobe because I know I won't regret it.
    I don't usually watch these sorts of videos, but I enjoy your thoughtful delivery of the topic!
    I'll keep watching these sorts of conversational videos from you.

      @@Wisco.ro414 thank you so so much, this means a lot given that you don't normally watch these! I wanted it to be more reflective , rather than "you need to buy this!" Kind of content!
      The pants sound amazing, and how cool is it that they can be your neutral or basic item? That is why I love personal style! Fingers crossed you find some similar pairs!
