Single Segment speedrun getting all of the A ranks in Sonic Heroes. World Record at time of recording.
Did this quite a while ago and it's the first speedrun of All A Ranks that had a significant amount of routing done for it (my previous runs were improvised). Due to the length of the run, I can't do it often, but it was a blast to route and I figured I'd finally upload this thing to youtube!
In other news I'll be returning to Sonic Heroes speedruns next week, starting with improving my Team Sonic time! So expect more Heroes runs to pop up soon both here and on stream :)

Anybody else think this game is fucking beautiful in every way? Apart from the slipperyness of the controls but we can look past that

2:16:32 I actually found out that the 100k should be wrong. When I speedran Final Fortress, I had like 67k and still got an A. When I experimented a bit, I figured that the A-requirement should probably be 60k. This is something that could be further explored by someone. ^^

I'm legit mad about this, every resource I can find says 100k lmao, I'm gonna have to test so many levels again!!!
Alright I double-checked stuff and it's literally just Final Fortress that's listed wrong everywhere. Guessing it's 60k like you said, but yeah I made a note to reroute it next time I do this. Thank you for pointing it out man!

i love your view and totally agree with how you see game reviews. sometimes i think i'm the only one who thinks like that. It shouldn't matter how someone else likes the game its how you like it. As funny as it sounds i really enjoyed 06 and then i went online and found out its hated by like half the damn fanbase if not more i was like . . . ok but its fun ;/

Took me a few days but I finished this video! Learned several things about this game I didn't know as a kid, such as you hold the dash button and not mash it during the special stages....... I also didn't know about why Sonic Boom did so bad until I saw this D: it really sucks when you hear about games that could have been good(or at least, MUCH better) but then the higher ups changed their mind or decided to rush the project and ultimately ruined it.
For me the stream picked up at the start of Team Rose when chat started making good use of the Big emotes which I never knew I needed until I saw it in action. It's interesting that some glitches seem to be exclusive to specific teams.

I will never get over the fact in every enemy wave battle, eggman waits until the last wave to go "this is only the beginning" To then quickly say "don't get too excited boys, those were the easy ones!" as he runs off

I looked away, then looked back and saw 5:56:47.
I remember when I go this game in 2012 when I was 7 and only finished the Story Mode in 2018 when I was 13 it took me 6 years. Almost half my life to finish just the Story Mode

i've always wondered how knuckles/tails and rouge/omega can keep up with sonic and shadow since they are like the fastest things ever

But honestly, rouge can use her wings, Omega us a robot, tails can keep up by using his tails as a propeller, and judging by how fast knuckles can move his feet in adventure 2, i don't even think he needs a special feature. Hi legs make *after images.* AFTER. IMAGES.
Jared Grumney Sonic* is the fastest thing ever. The only one keeping up is Metal Sonic and that's for obvious reasons.

Personally, the most difficult story was Dark, because of the fact that Dark's campaign is basically Sonic's campaign, but extended with more enemies, traps, and the goal ring is 1-2 minutes farther *someone correct me on this, because it's been 10 years since i last touched this game* . Even though Chaotix is suppose to be extreme because of the mission requirements to clear each stage, once you study and figure out where all the pieces are, their campaign becomes less tedious. As for Rose and Sonic... if you know what you're doing and if you don't get touched at all, both campaigns can be A ranked on auto pilot.

Sonic Heroes is the ONLY main series Sonic game I've never played in my life. I don't even know if I'll ever get the chance to play the game. It's not because I hate the game it's just that I don't have a console to play it on.
Play it on dolphin emulator. You don't need a very good pc for that.

I can't help but repeat after Omega "WORTHLESS CONSUMER MODELS" after each 3-combo of his.
BTW in team Dark's extras, while in canyon, you can just ignore most rhyno robots, unless they're going in circle rail, becauste they self-destruct when they reach the end of the rail, and it'll count torward eveny counter abeit without rewarding points. Maybe this is true as well for flying bird-like robots which carry other robots, but this I don't remember well enough to be truly sure of.
For those also wanna know the sonice stories/games in order are- SADX, SA, SA2,Shadow the hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, Sonic 06, then of course sonic forces

My work days and other acitivities are sadly too inconsistent for a proper stream schedule, but I try to go live on as many days as I can (3+ times a week). I usually stream for 3-4 hours in the European afternoon or evening.
I always tweet out when I go live on twitter and twitch has a following functionality that'll let you know when I'm live (including email notifications, though these can be rather delayed). Links to both are in the description of every video. If you happen to have Discord, I also have a server on that where I post when I go live, link for that can be found on my Twitch page.

Super Hard Mode. It is unlocked by getting all the A ranks, you can see it at the end of the video

Sorry if you get this one a lot, but how/why does switching rapidly between Sonic and Knuckles when rail grinding make you go any faster? What does it do?
When you start grinding you get a little acceleration boost. By holding the grind button while switch between Sonic and Knuckles you trigger that boost repeatedly. It gets you to max speed faster, it doesn't actually increase the max speed.
Oh, that's actually really interesting, thank you! I've been playing Sonic Heroes since I was really little but I've played the PS2 version... The rail grinding in the PS2 version is honestly terrifying and I always stick with the flying character for safety, so that's probably why I never figured that one out lmao.

you know i actually did a bop boost glitch ACCIDENTALLY i was just messing with a cannon with team rose and amy got hit by an enemy and then when she came back i was LAUNCHED INTO THE ABYSS
i also accidentally did that casino park super jump glitch but like an extended version of it cuz it took a while to land on the ground i was once again team rose messing around a cannon and then for some reason i got LAUNCHED IN THE AIR now didn't move because i didn't know what was going on it actually took like 2 minutes to come down and when i landed i was at the same spot as where i was launched it was so funny i didn't know how i did it now i see how it works but you don't get as high as i did
also i can't believe how many weebs you have as fans

I've done one for Frog Forest at some point and while it was fun, unfortunately not every stage is possible. Not to mention some of the stages that are possible, require endless kicking to build team blast meter for 1 hammer robot or 1difficult trick.

Depends how low you wanna push the time
Easiest one to get a decent time on is Chaotix Casino Park, slot glitch is pretty easy

It means "below this time"
So example: if my goal is sub 9, I want a time that's 8:59 or lower
