I am only a week or so into your channel. I am looking at options for next years Bujo (my loose interpretation) more of a household control journal, and personal planner. This year my 2024 planner was a bound book, dot grid A5. It was inexpensive. In the past, I used a faux leather mass marketed, also inexpensive travelers style notebook. I had pockets and inserts. I’m looking to replace and I was so happy to see this older video pop up with review and recommendations. I am looking for an affordable genuine leather travelers notebook, I love the idea of zip pouch, and a pocket/ card slot flap. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
Thank you for sharing. I‘ve used my passport size for one year now and just recently bought the regular size. The smaller one is great for EDC, todo lists and quick notes, but to small if I want to elaborate on some topic or for work. What I added to both of them are some sticky notes, that sit on the plastic part of the insert and can be applied to where I need them in the book. I have arrow shaped ones in different colors that I place with a litte part of it overlapping at the edge of the paper. By that I can do some sort of topic related color coding which allows me to directly access the relevant pages. All the best to you :-)
Ah, that sounds excellent! I too found the passport too small for expanded notetaking, idea generation. Regular size paper is much better for me. Many thanks indeed for sharing your setup. All the best to you too :)
I will try to order the Kokonote Travel Notebook, great gift idea for my wife and daughter which love travel and want to explore Europe. I was proud my daughter did a recent trip to Sweden, Greece and London so she is all grown up.
That sounds like a splendid idea and a gift that will indeed bring much pleasure in filling those pages. Well done to your daughter! They do grow up very quickly don't they.
I have a second clip now too (the airplane one) - can't believe I bought another one pretty much 24 hours later! :) They are excellent though, and such great quality.
Thanks for sharing how you use your notebook. I was the same with the passport version thinking it would be a good pocket notebook but its now a card wallet/notebook for the bag.
Bbahahah. I have resisted buying the clip. I sooo want a diner clip. (Not sure they have one) I have not heard of the pouch. Ps.. greetings from Alton, Illinois.
30 days through the Bible is such an experience! I did it on spring 2022 and it taught me more than any other read through I've done aside from maybe the first time I ever read through the Bible. Reading it in such a short period gives you so much context! Ever since I've continued to do 90 days and read my churches through it a few times. More manageable on a regular basis and still so good, but 30 days was tops!
Ah, that's great! Yes, spot on! I said the same thing too, that the 30 days just gives you so much - a fantastic hard landscape overview of the whole Book. Will be doing it again, Lord willing. Thanks for sharing this!
I have never heard of this, sounds like a cool way to read through it. I myself have procrastinated and never made it all the way through. So do you just take all the books and chapters and divide by 30 or 90 days?
@@Dreblueskies yes, my 90 day plan is I typically read 10 OT chapters straight through, and 4 NT and I change the order for NT so I don't just read all 4 gospels in a row. When I did 30 days, I wasn't planning to when I started, I just got a new Bible and was loving reading it, and next thing I knew I was a week into reading like 40 chapters a day, so then I decided I'd keep it up and see if I could finish in 30 days.
Very nice set up you've done. Straight and simple. Mine is never out of reach, One of the best things I've done for myself is journal in mine and track to do lists and scriptures. I'd love to know the name of your other channel
Thank you so much! I currently have another notebook format for journalling, but have been contemplating going with either the XL Paper Republic system or going full-out with the TNs - emmm, tough decisions :) Re: other channel - I mention it in this video and link is in the description for that too - th-cam.com/video/z-FR5zd54kE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared - it's only just started so will be uploading videos more frequently, Lord willing - many thanks for all your comments! @Barry's Analog Insights I'm in the States and it appears as though the pen you link in this video is sold out. I'm VERY new to fountain pens. I have used Pilot Varsity but I would love to a refillable type and cut back on my plastic waste. Can you recommend a 2nd favorite which is fantastic for the price point? Thank you in advance for any information/recommendation you have to offer!
Certainly, for new and inexpensive excellent quality fountain pens, the Jinhao are very good. I particularly enjoy the Baoer 388, which is simply superb! Hope that helps a bit.
@@barrysanaloginsights yes, thank you for your kindness! Have you ever tried a Kaweco Sport? A colleague has ordered one, so it will be interesting to try hers.
@@thegoatgirlcrYou're very welcome indeed; happy to answer any questions :) Ah yes I have - I actually own one; they are nice and pocketable, but a bit more pricey
Until I changed my EDC bag, I carried an Android tablet, iPad, laptop, legal size binder, pens, chargers, and other stuff I did not need to carry. Now, my leather planner and a few pens is all I carry day to day.
Be aware that Grand Voyager XL is not A5. It is a custom format, it is not as wide as A5. So you have to use their inserts only. You can always ask for a quote for a custom leather cover though. I have requested a quote for a customized pocket one and the quote was around 80 EUR.
@@barrysanaloginsightslovely to hear the bible was read in 30 days. Last Easter I volunteered to take one hour to read on line with the Athabasca diocese (Anglican Church of Canada) they coordinate the continuous reading of the bible from cover to cover, it is amazing and volunteers are laity, clergy, from around Canada and all over the world. Truly worth listening in or organizing to volunteer or coordinate something locally in the UK ….though I understand this one has had Bishops/Primate and other ArchBishops also sign up for the hour. What is amazing is there are also several languages spoken by the readers (not totally sure how they track and transition linguistic readings being handed off).
@@barrysanaloginsights Will definitely be check out that channel ! Wanted to thank you for the great idea about the mp3 player. The Camel and Olive versions will both darken if you condition them because they are a bit suedy.
