So powerful to see that a woman is behind this amazing art. I remember going to see Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour in 2016. The whole stadium was in awe of that cube. Seconds before the show started the cube was glowing and spinning, we were captivated. At one point, it opened up and their were people in side it, hanging from a ceiling. It also shot out flames. That cube was gigantic and added so much to the show.
you're giving me flashbacks! I was at the first Miami show that played in the video and it was an experience. the gigantic cube was like nothing I had ever seen before. the energy was electric. what I would give to be able to relive the formation concert 🤩
I’m studying production design and set design and our lecturer showed us the video saying that he couldn’t describe our future job in a better way than that. He was right

To become an illustrious designer needs the observation, experience and perception from anything possible. Thank you so much for your sharing

As an architect, my favorite designer is Es Devlin - poetry realized.
“We have to provide intimacy on a grand scale” that’s basically an oxymoron. And the fact that she can pull this off makes her a genius.
I love the introspective way she creates and designs - faceted and complex yet easy to absorb
When Es Devlin talks, I always listen.
I came across Es in Netflix's docu-series, Abstract, and have been obsessed with her work since then. Brilliant!
