NJ Black Sea Bass opened on May 17th... 10 fish with a 12.5" minimum size length. Get in on the action before it closes on June 19. It will reopen July 1st with a ONE fish bag at 12.5" until August 31. Then it is closed until October 1 when it opens for the whole month with a 10 fish bag at 12.5" minimum. Finally, November to Dec 31 there is a 15 fish bag at 12.5" minimum.
First and foremost, thanks for watching, subscribing and commenting. I'm replying to understand more since if you feel this maybe others do too. I didn't think it was all that rosey compared to the much hotter action I reported on in a few of the previous/earlier reports when the surf was popping. That's why I started off with "not phenomenal but not bad". Fortunately anglers are catching many different species, in many different areas. We have possibly the last week of quality striped bass fishing until later in the year/fall. That itself should be a kicker to go fish. There's lots of blues around offering fun for those that enjoy them. But maybe they are not your cup of tea. I see some improving fluke and sea bass action from a week or two ago AND some new species (cobia and sheepshead) arriving. I'm stoked to see the spring progress along and soon transition into summer. I'm not sure what "sale" I was trying to make. I set out in the process to specifically share info and help anglers for FREE without jamming ads or subscriptions to viewers. Many ask me to provide more specifics which can then be perceived as a sales push but none of that was included in this video.
Always enjoy and appreciate your great reporting!
Thanks for watching and sharing your comment.

Thanks for watching and commenting Robert. You have been putting in the time and putting some nice catches together!
Also I apologize for not including your name on the catch photo I shared in the video.
