Within Temptation is awesome! They started out the same year as Nightwish but have always tended to experiment more with their sound while keeping a symphonic core-like The Unforgiving, which is an 80s-rock inspired concept album-and of course songs like this with rap in a metal song! Not something you hear every day! This song and the last one you checked out, Paradise, are both from their 2014 album Hydra, which was their 6th album. Their 8th, Bleed Out, just came out earlier this year! They also have a ton of singles they’ve released in the past few years, which include a ton of my favorite songs from them: Entertain You, Don’t Pray for Me, The Purge, Shed My Skin (ft Annisokay), and A Fool’s Parade (ft Alex Yarmak)
I'm so glad I subscribed. You have the great taste to be reacting to Within Temptation. There most popular song is Ice Queen and another I'd recommend is Forgiven. Similar to My Immortal by Evanescence. They also have a duet with Anneke called Somewhere that many call the best duet ever made.
I love this song(and Video). Sharon got a amazing voice, and its even more incredible when you know that she is self taught. Been listened to WT for many years, and the 8 of october im gonna see them live here in Norway. Love the reaction. Best regards from Norway
Within Temptation is a Dutch band not far away from were I live (30 miles) I think you would also like to check out the song faster, the howling, and angels
They used to be very cinematic like do mini movies for their music videos. Nowadays not so much but the old ones like Angels and Frozen are epic. Also the Unforgiving era which was basically a concept album and they even did a comic out of it. So yeah long story short you're just getting started with them and I am here for it❤
"Frozen" is so underrated i think, its one of my absolute favorites. But yeah, you really need to watch it with the video to get whats the dark story behind it
