Pale Pink Copic Flowers? Stop Making this Mistake!

  • Do your pale pink marker blends usually end up hot pink, magenta, or even red? You're not alone!
    Pale pink blends often look flat but the shading techniques we learn from tutorials can turn softly colored flowers brighter, bolder, and significantly darker. Is there a way to color flowers both pastel AND dimensional?
    Illustrator and art instructor, Amy Shulke shares four methods for coloring pastel flowers with depth, dimension, and even realism.
    Amy's videos offer coloring tutorials based on fine art techniques, realistic blending combinations, and marker blending lessons for mixed media Copic Markers + colored pencils. This episode demonstrates how a professional artist creates depth and dimension without increasing color value.

    Oh now it makes sense. I'm pretty good at learning crafts and arts. But i've been failed repeatedly when it's comes to alcohol markers and digital art. Hope one day i'll be able to master this too 😅

    • @AmyShulke
      @AmyShulke  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can definitely master markers; everyone can. If what you're doing now doesn't work, change it up. Take a class or if you are taking classes, find a different instructor. Also check your paper because good paper really is key to good results.

    Dont know... theres many colors called pink that are dark and NOT red... even 1 pigmented pinks... so i dont see the problem. And even copic has not only darker reds but darker pinks too. And i dont mean DARK pinks, i mean darker ones than the lightest ones that are still light colors and not considered dark... Well IF you have that problem with alcohol markers, try waercolors. Best art medium for coloring with really light colors and dark of course too

      Valid points but I'm not really here to push marker fans into watercolor. I'm trying to help marker people get great results from markers. I suspect from your avatar that you're probably not a card maker but there are a large number of people who color stamps who want to get depth and dimension from their pale pink markers. Right now, tutorials are telling them to add dark pink. I'm simply suggesting ways to keep the desired pale pink without darkening the value of the petal.
