Best morning ever. Pouring down rain in SE Michigan, hot cup of coffee, watching Amy do extraordinary work. Thank you for graciously sharing your talent and knowledge. From drawing it to coloring it - simply remarkable and beautiful. THANK YOU.
Is my first time in a marker artist channel. And I loved I also loved the mixing: markers with pencils. I would never think about that by myself. I’m a watercolor artist ( beginner/ medium level artist). But I can tell by your work, I will give a try to some markers, for see if I like. And then Maybe to get some classes with. You are really amazing in your work. Thank you for your dedication.
Thanks. Keep in mind that even if you sign up for my classes, be sure to try a few other instructors too. Even if it's the same basic lesson, hearing the differences in perspective from several artists can be so beneficial!
Finally got to watch the replay this morning! I seriously love watching the entire process! I get a lot of encouragement from watching these! Thanks Amy!
I'm so glad you find them motivational. And thanks for posting pics of your finished versions, I love seeing what you do with the lessons and I know others find them inspriational too!
My grandfather was an artist and when he used pencils he used his finger to blend out some of the pencil marks. Is that an acceptable way to blend instead of solvent?
I suspect he was using Conte pencils which used to be very popular and they were smudgable. Rubbing a modern pencil isn't very effective. Colored pencils don't need to be blended the way you're asking. If you layer the pencils correctly, you can create some amazing visual blends without chemically smearing the pencils around. It's just a matter of learning to use pencils properly instead of trying to make them behave like pastels or markers.

It did rain hard here, didn't it? Our pool and pond are looking very, very full right now. Glad to start the day with you!
So glad to find your channel. I have markers but haven’t been able to find tutorials that were this in depth. You have a new subscriber.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching!

I really enjoy watching you paint this beautiful 'shy tulip'. Thank you so much!
My pleasure 😊 So glad you enjoyed it. The next Draw and Color will be Tuesday, June 14 with a strawberry theme.

Just finished the replay. That tulip looks so real and is so beautiful! It was amazing to watch you add the pencils and it became realistic.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm about to open the line art in the shop, if you color my version or your own, please share!!!

I believe there is a way to throw it into the computer and making a stamp from it. It's not simple, but it can be done!
Yes but not well. The human touch is not only preferable, it’s also fun.
