Oh wow! Music to the ears, a sight for sore eyes and a fitting and enduring tribute to Stuart Dennis. I can't wait for "the all clear" and I can't wait for 'Stowe' to be ready and on my 'local railway', the Bluebell. That distinctive, three cylinder syncopation is a bit odd, but I'm sure I'll get used to it! Well done everyone.
If you ignore the fact that the line is single track, the rolling hills and sharp curves in some parts of the footage could almost be those on the Hastings line. I don't think she has a main line certificate but if she did she would be a great way to mark the 175th anniversary of the Tonbridge to Tunbridge Wells line this September! Lovely to see.
Always love to see Repton, named after a school the Kray's saved from bankruptcy and often paid a scholarship for a deserving kiddie in East London. Goodies Graeme Garden, Roald Dahl and Jeremy Clarkson were attendees of Repton, you used to see the name Repton all over east London at gyms and clubs.
fantastic nice to see her back the rhythm of three cylinders just music to my ears great video guys just wandering has it got a different tender looks a bit bigger than one on my hornby model was it rebuilt like that while she was in the usa be great to find out more on that many thanks dan :)
David Davies I agree. I moved from Northumberland to Wilton in May 2001. On the first day out walking the dog I was picking blackberries. Unheard of in the north at that time of year.
This is fantastic footage, most enjoyable. A reminder of times gone by, and what beautiful things these are, as they roll along in full steam. Although, I'm surprised nobody has complained yet, about the white steam. It's obviously racist in colour .......
It will be reopening after the government gives the go ahead for entertainment venues eg pub's, restaurants, attractions, etc to be allowed to be reopened

The tender on Repton is slightly higher. I believe it was done when the loco was in the USA in the 1970s or 1980s.
