Bro unfortunately you dont know what a turbo petrol engine is, swift is naturally aspirated engine this will demand gears because you have to maintain it into the turbo range,every turbo engine is like this only

Completely disagree, if you talk about driving experience then it may be right that you can’t match the quality of German but if you just talk about performance of the engine, try 1.0 turbo of Hyundai ( which is equally good ) or try Mahindra 1.2 turbo which is way better than 1.0 turbo of German.

Hyundai aur mahindra can’t compete with this 1.0 litre tsi engine. Their 1.0 litre engine is fussi engine. Even their 1.5 or 1.2 engine can’t compete with this 1.0 tsi. If you bring 2.0 litre engine it will surely surpass this tsi engine. But then if you pick 1.5 tsi it will smoke even that.

So the kind of refinement and research which has taken place with the present variant of tsi is leaps and and bounds ahead what these other korean and Indian companies have been doing very recently. I like that Mahindra is doing great with their engines but the gdi technology which it uses, volkswagen has been using it for decades.
