This is a neat perspective of a coffee shop that is likely rivaled with many other coffee shops in the area. I know when I lived in grants pass Oregon Dutch Bros. was a big deal. Wow, if she's going through toasters and microwaves a year, she could get a refund or some reimbursement with a one-year warrantee, that most appliances provide. And have backups when she sends them back to be "fixed" or refunded. Tax deductible too.
She should buy the real commercial toaster and microwave. $600 for the toasters each and $1800 for the microwave. They would last 10 years easily. But unfortunately she’s barely surviving with her sales.
My question is what kind of security system do you use? Considering you have equipment and appliances worth thousands and no security bars on the Windows? Located away from others and not like in a shopping mall. Steel roll up curtains come to mind. Must be a peaceful place. Otherwise you have a great Coffee Shop! God bless you!

Um where you been most coffee shops charge that now. Anytime I go to starbucks with one other person our total usually comes out to between $12 to $16 and even our local shops are that way and im in Alabama where cost of living is lower than most places. She also said that those $6 and up prices were her most expensive items but she has basic items on the menu that are less than that.
Whenever something involves sales, don’t get confused with net sales vs net profit. They could be losing money. It doesn’t matter how much you do in sales, only what your profit is
There's plenty of an open market within that economic sector. Starbucks is a norm now but its interesting to see new coffee shops to try out. So I do think a small business similar to this would be successful as a local stand.. Good luck :)

From my 15 years business experience , Coffee shop is lot of work and it is very less profitable compare to other industry as well as, the sales of the best month of $35,000 is bit too low with employee and liability, Just to understand, if she has average margin of 35% of she is netting around $12k after inventory, If there are employee required, 1 or 2, that cost is around $40k/ year, Utility is about $600/month and Rent is around $2000(Average(In future)) , Total minimum expense/ month = 1650(Rent) + Utility (600) + $150 (Accounting Expense) + $400 (Marketing(optional))+ Worker comp insurance($100/month Guessing) + Business Insurance ($1800) + $500/month credit card fees. $3000 ( Employee Expense , If there are Any) = $6150(minimum Expense), So she can max make about $72k - $80k , From my Business Experience, I would not work 7 days to make about $72k - $80k for a business while I can make$70k - $80k with 4 year Tech degree With about 40 hr work schedule. From my view, if she wants to increase profit, she might need to stop loyalty and marketing program, because the coffee they make not every one around can make the same type of coffee, as well as offer cash discount to save on fees.

I really appreciate your honesty and you gave me so much information. Thank you and keep up the great work. I'll come by if I'm ever in the area.
solid buisness. solid owner. just an honest coffee shop.
Wow, if she's going through toasters and microwaves a year, she could get a refund or some reimbursement with a one-year warrantee, that most appliances provide. And have backups when she sends them back to be "fixed" or refunded. Tax deductible too.
Very good pointlex. 1 year warrantees on appliances should be pretty easy to secure.
Not with that amount of use. Would be unethical maybe
Warranty is void if used in a commercial setting
She should buy the real commercial toaster and microwave. $600 for the toasters each and $1800 for the microwave. They would last 10 years easily. But unfortunately she’s barely surviving with her sales.
@@tomdurkins How is she barely surviving when she's netting 10k-15k a month?
This was really helpful, it's very much what I'm thinking of doing, just coffee, drinks, and breakfast. Thanks for sharing your advice!

Super helpful information! Thank you for sharing❤️
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching :)
Excellent and insightful video! More like this please!
More to come Henry!
Proof if you want to succeed in life work smart.
I lived down the street from Shots in high school and would Cruz down on my moped to get there bagel sandwiches! So good and super cheap, funny I just stumbled on this video

Thanks a lot Adrian!
You threw some great trivia questions making your video unique.
Glad you enjoyed them!
At the moment he handed the cameraman the bagel. I remember to smash the like button.
Great info. Thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed :)
Great business! Would suggest the workers making food wear hats or hair nets. Hair in the food by accident will make you lose customers
Those are some good suggestions !
I am curious though. Did the freezer door get checked? And Sandy is right. Location is very important especially when it is a food business. Overall, this looks like a delightful business. Very informative. And I wish this women and her team all the best. Thanks for another video UpFill.
What a great interview. $6-7 a drink. Wow. I’m glad she’s able to charge that.
We're glad you enjoyed the interview Carl!
Your interview skills are fantastic. Subscribed
You Rock Ayo!😀👍
My favorite coffee stand
I’m looking to open my own coffee shop nice video
Best of luck to you Mary!
Whenever something involves sales, don’t get confused with net sales vs net profit. They could be losing money. It doesn’t matter how much you do in sales, only what your profit is
Great work I’m hooked on this channel!!
Glad you enjoy it!
With her experience and drive she could probably get a high paying corporate job at one of the big coffee companies.
You need to make a behind the scene video, Eitherway keep up the good work.
We really do! Hopefully we will soon.
Ok I just so needed this pick me up video, I’m trying to do same thing I just don’t have drive thru thank you Sandy from sandra :)
We’re glad we could help!
There's plenty of an open market within that economic sector. Starbucks is a norm now but its interesting to see new coffee shops to try out. So I do think a small business similar to this would be successful as a local stand.. Good luck :)
@@ivanhmunguia5576 I have small shop already (successful) my lease is coming up and I’m thinking drive thru is the way to go in my town next to high school. so this is great info and inspiration
@@manadziveasv2418 that's really good :) especially next to a high school.. The perfect location.. I think drive thru is & has been a successful way for many food & beverage establishments.. Its a good feeling when you own & run a business.. Huge responsibility but best thing is the fact that providing jobs & keeping the economy going is best....
@@ivanhmunguia5576 unfortunately unless it’s big city and low rent square footage of someone sitting for hours on free wifi (costing me hundreds a month commercial rate). For maybe $6 drink in few hours doesn’t pay back, sorry it’s just reality of high rents right now. I had sit down large space and it made - income
I love your energy and your concept.
Great inspiration for sure!
From my 15 years business experience , Coffee shop is lot of work and it is very less profitable compare to other industry as well as, the sales of the best month of $35,000 is bit too low with employee and liability, Just to understand, if she has average margin of 35% of she is netting around $12k after inventory, If there are employee required, 1 or 2, that cost is around $40k/ year, Utility is about $600/month and Rent is around $2000(Average(In future)) ,
Total minimum expense/ month =
1650(Rent) +
Utility (600) +
$150 (Accounting Expense) +
$400 (Marketing(optional))+
Worker comp insurance($100/month Guessing) +
Business Insurance ($1800) +
$500/month credit card fees.
$3000 ( Employee Expense , If there are Any) =
$6150(minimum Expense), So she can max make about $72k - $80k ,
From my Business Experience, I would not work 7 days to make about $72k - $80k for a business while I can make$70k - $80k with 4 year Tech degree With about 40 hr work schedule.
From my view, if she wants to increase profit, she might need to stop loyalty and marketing program, because the coffee they make not every one around can make the same type of coffee, as well as offer cash discount to save on fees.
Im from a sri lanka,,(verry poor country 😢) ,, ,now im doing a small barista cousre ,,one day i would like to become a one of the talented barista and work like this shop❤
We wish you all the best. One day, you'll make it!
I can't wait to start a coffee shop
We're thrilled to hear about it! Best of luck! 👊
This is such a great video. Thank you
