    Your videos are always so interesting and they keep me wondering what's gonna happen next❤

    Interesting, makes me consider getting a W9 if I don't fit in a snoek
    P. S. Thank you for making content about the newer velomobiles, there's not much good riding footage on TH-cam

      Glad you are finding the content useful. Both the Bülk and W9 have similar dimensions. I’d recommend trying both of them and seeing which fits you best. They perform very similarly.

    You need a racing hood. That wil accelerate you a bit more...
    But overall i can´t see a dramatic increase in speed compared to an A7.
    I have an A7 and if i´d put in that power i´d be as fast as you are.

      Yes. I do not believe the W9 is much of any faster. My Bülk put out similar speed yesterday. I’ll be testing them back to back at higher speed soon when the weather is not so horribly hot. I do have racing hoods for both, but it would be dangerous to ride with them in this heat. It is over 32 Celsius (90 Fahrenheit) right now.

    So your motivation was ro run away from that music as fast as possible?

      Are you taking issue with my use of Pines of Rome as the backing track? Just so you know, I transcribed that for brass ensemble and performed it myself, so be careful what you criticize here. You can always turn the sound off if it offends your ears. I normally try to use copyright free music, which means using tracks I have performed.

      @@mnveloguy: Turning the sound off is not a useful suggestion as you never know then if something is said that is interesting/useful and part of the reason to watch a video... I don't like the music but which music you use is mostly irrelevant unless the video is about something that contains that particular music. As the tastes of music vary widely the best thing is not use background music, and in this case use the sound from the ride, or ride commentary. Rides with just environmental sound are likd making a ride yourself, videos with music are like some neighbour putting on his music loudly. I skip most videos with background music...

      @@WHS_reviews I find videos without background music boring. I never watch those videos all the way through. Personal taste. Sounds like my channel probably isn’t for you then, which is a shame.

    Get a track pump, nearly all racing tires go easily to 120 psi, you are only getting 70-80 psi with your pump. The speed and efficiency differences will be stark.

    • @mnveloguy
      @mnveloguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The front tires were lumped to 100psi. Only the rear was somewhat unknown pressure. I was on vacation and didn’t have access to a track pump. Now that I am at home I have all tires pumped to a proper pressure. As I said, this wasn’t a scientific test, just something for fun. I’m now performing proper scientific tests and will be uploading 1 or 2 a week as time allows.

      @@sandydennylives1392 none of my tires are rated for such high pressure. It also would make the bike slower to run that high of pressure because the roads here are not as smooth as German roads. I use whatever pressure gives the least rolling resistance on the roads I ride. Higher is not always better.

      @@sandydennylives1392 some very interesting research has been done on tires and tire pressure relative to road surface. Also some very interesting recent research on tire width and rolling resistance. That’s what has led pro riders to using 28mm tires rather than 23mm. They are finding that wider tires up to a point and somewhat lower tire pressures are actually faster, especially on poor road surfaces. Where I live, chipseal is very common on the roads. It makes the surface quite rough. For that lower pressure tires run faster in my experience. I use contact urban 32mm in the front. They are rated to a maximum of 87psi. I think the gp5000 is a maximum of 115psi. I normally run it at 100-105psi. I only use that tire for testing purposes though. For normal riding I use contact urban rear tire because it is more durable and more comfortable on rough roads.

      I’m willing to bet the car drivers are spending a lot more money to drive their car than I do to ride my bike and I’m positive I’m having way more fun and will sleep much better at night after some good exercise than the car drivers.

      This is real power. Not everybody can be fast with this. With a car everybody can drive fast. But it is not the Real Power cause you dont need to kick in. You just sit there and press the Pedal of your car and get fucked up from other drivers or stop and go trafic. While he sittin calmly in his velomobil and drive away without Emission and with Real human Power. Thats the point he will get a better body from driving the velomobil and wont get fat and became healthier than you. Greetings from germany :)
