For y’all that don’t know or understand 75 percent of what he said is true when he explained how “big sandy” and the feds work. I did 5 years in “big sandy” and its definitely the most violent federal prison. But PC And “checking in” is two different things.. A person who is a “Check in” is somebody who scared to go to the yard for some reason or somebody who was already on the yard and they did some foul shit so they “check in” before they homies can get to them. Once you “check in” they put you in the “SHU” which is the “hole” until they can find you a different prison to get transferred too. But your still around every regular inmate who’s in the “SHU” at the time. But the thing is nobody gonna let you in they cell if they find out your a “check in” they gone keep fighting you or tryna stab you. So technically your not in Protective custody because you still around the regular inmates. To the dudes on the yard your in PC because they cant get to you. but i seen ppl go to a different yard and walk freely. Which is rare because once you “check in” your no good on any yard and once they find out you “checked in” on yo last yard you getting stabbed guaranteed. But if you keep checking in on every yard you go to there going to send you to a real PC yard with ppl like you who scared, snitched, or dropped out yo gang. Big sandy is a Maximum security yard. all these rules only apply to Max yards. In camps, lows, and medium security yards most yards let anybody walk. When you go to big sandy they tell you when you get off the bus “if you snitched, or got a child molester case or some weird case just check in because they gone find out and kill you” thats why so many ppl check in straight off the bus. my dumb ass went str8 to the yard and continued gangbanging 😂 it was only two ppl who went to the yard with me out of 41 ppl.
