SMOOREZ Hey mate, I reckon you'd like this one I found: dl.wish.com/c55gT. It has some truly amazing specs like 512G! This is so painfully obviously fake, but I reckon you'd like it.
Looking at the vid, looks like the nfc antenna is in that black sticker inside the back around the finger print sensor. The contacts would be the upper edge of the main board opposite the back camera
People with no lives on TH-cam get upset about weird things. All they watch is reality TV and they want everything to be fake like that. They're not smart enough to discern between "reality" TV and real reality, and so they think all reality should be staged and feature hand models and stupid crap. Because they're idiots. Big dumb dummy dunderhead liches.
So for this phone, they went to great lengths to fake the storage amount. They actually modified kernel code to return fake capacity information so unless you disabled the faking service that sends the setting to the kernel, you'll always have a fake capacity. Unfortunately my ROM dump for this phone is stuck on a malfunctioning hard drive, otherwise I'd provide a few secret codes.
@Google Account As I commented on a previous video, some of the codes aren't put directly in the app manifest but checked programmatically, so if you want to find out those codes, the apps handling them need to be decompiled.
@Google Account It'll show all the apps that handle secret codes, but it's not guaranteed that they'll all work properly without actually figuring out the correct code. The usual faking app has a dozen or two different codes wired for different brands, but may only have a couple of handlers that process the codes, and unless you know the actual codes, nothing will happen.
@Google Account Just checked the specific app you're talking about, and while it provides a few useful things, it doesn't work 100%. The ActivityPicker can be used to launch some of the activities from faking apps, but it doesn't seem consistent (i.e. mostly doesn't work from what I've tested). It definitely does not show the list of secret code handlers that some other apps do, and doesn't even enumerate all of the setting pages like some other apps (some vendors do hide pages into the settings app, but you're not going to find them with this app). You may think you know what you're talking about, but have you actually deep dived and decompiled apps from these phones?

Funny thing about these Welcome devices. A "decent" daily batch could be absolutely awful the next day. It all depends on what they have available to shove in the phone that particular day.
wonder if you could make a frankenstein WELCOME device by taking pieces from each one and putting them together, so you can pick best display, motherboard, cameras and etc
You said in another video that you will main the first 32 gb welcome device lol. I love your videos for the proper commentary because it helps me as a blind viewer understand them better. I also like the welcome devices.
SMOOREZ I love ur teardown clone device content but do u also do regular phone reviews like the Samsung S20 review and stuff like that cuz I would love to see that too
This reminds me of something random. I have one of these (unfortunately ruined the LCD during disassembly while trying to hard reset it), and the SIM tray did not fit the microSD card very well, as in it would catch when you try to pull the tray out. The easy way to get around that is to put a piece of tape over the card so if it tries to catch the tape would help press the card down.
This is a perfect example of someone that is far too sensitive to mean/angry comments. I scroll down and I see nothing but comments saying they don't care/don't mind/never noticed anything about your hands. But I imagine you spend alot of time reading comments/see the first few dickhead ones and take it to heart. Your hands are fine. Honestly. Your rambly reviews are great, keep up the good work. and above all else take care of yourself mentally. Your hands are fine.
Just saw the video (discovered your channel days ago) and, when you took out the back cover, there were two contacts in the cover (lower left of the phone). Could that have been an NFC antenna?

this was a triumph. I'm making a note here. Huge success. lol I don't know if it's coincidence or if maybe something Portal-related has been popular recently, but CallMeKevin did that same quote in a recent video as well as for teh battery capacity -- I wonder if maybe there's an extra wrapping around the battery and that could be removed to reveal the real battery labels? Might be risky. You could also try to do it in a way that I think BigClive has done for testing batteries -- fully charge them using the device, then disconnect it from the device, and attach it to a known resistor value while measuring the current and voltage of the battery so you can calculate how much power it has stored in it before dropping to a low enough voltage to be considered dead and needing to be recharged again. I get it's kind of involved but then you wouldn't have to rely on the stickers to tell the truth
You mentioned several times X21 which isn't on the list of videos , so I was confused a bit , as only this and X27 are reviewed. :) But anyways , video was great. :)
I like your reviews, generally, but when you review used units... why do you keep those scratched screen protectors on? What, you're worried about damaging the screen??
Holy shit, I was just making a joke about being offended by your hands... I can't believe that was an actual complaint. Yeesh. I just got here recently. I'm enjoying your videos. I like seeing how bad these types of devices are getting. It certainly was worth that 10 dollarbucks for that back.
SMOOREZ, if u didn't know, the reason why cod didn't run on other devices that have 2 GB ram and mt6580, that's because mt6580 isn't powerful enough to run cod. The minimum requirement for cod is 2 GB ram and mt6735 :)
I don't know what the schedule is in OZ, but in the US AT&T is scheduled to shut down 3g service in Feb. of 2022. The good news is that they will have to either start adding real 4g to their phones or stop selling them.
I had nails that looked like that. Is people are offended by them, then let them watch someone else’s content. You’re putting a lot of work into these great vids, don’t worry about the little things like your nails. Own em
Mild criticism: you said you were too cheap to buy Minecraft, but yet you buy smartphones, which you know are very much not worth it and you would definitely not use after. I don't personally really play on my smrtphone, but Minecraft is worth it, even if you only prefer the Java version, the ability to play the Bedrock edition (and crossplay between consoles, smartphones and Windows 10 edition) is pretty cool. Cheers mate, I really enjoy your style, you are a cool dude!
You don't have to check if it's 4G. If they don't list the bands/frequencies for 4G in the description (they list them for 2G and 3G) it isn't 4G. Same for 5G.

Great device!
Did you ever have an issue with your umidigi power 3 loudspeaker? Because when i bought mine it would not work and some reviews say the same and to disable the Google app which i did and works now just was wondering if you ever had any problems with yours
I really don't understand why people buy these things (other than being scammed) when there are so many decent options. 18 months ago I bought a Sharp C10 for a little over £100 from BangGood. It isn't the best phone on the market and never was, but it's a stable, reliable device that does what I need it to, has an acceptable camera, USB-C, decent 4G performance etc. It has never crashed and I expect to run it for at least another year. It barely cost any more than this heap of crap lol.
You've think if whoever makes these kind of phones would not fake the specs. I mean I'm sure the company could actually put the latest Android OS and give out the real specs they would still be able to sell them. They could use Android Go on their phones and people would still buy them if they're cheap enough.
