Just to let you know, it is NOT waterproof, you just got lucky that it did not die right away, perhaps the water did not make it to short-circuit it, but the phone did not have any sort of waterproofing Inside, such as rubber gasket, glued parts and so on, the battery was wet, including near the contacts, the screen was wet, which would have likely killed it eventually and the whole phone Inside was wet, so no, it is not waterproof, it simply survived the short dunk in the sink luckily, however, it is no more waterproof than any of the other welcome devices, you can test other welcome phones you have or any other phones in general without waterproofing, 1 in every 10 will always survive, at least at first. Even if the phone did not have ingress protection (which it did not), when a phone's internals are waterproofed the water drops bead up as it has a hydrophobic coating on it, which this phone did not have. Depends really if you cut off the power and then dry it off with an air compressor as an air can wouldn't be able to expel the water. My second smartphone an LG G2 survived when I did this and let any residue water dry out for half a day. My parents keep it for the Walabot stud finder since they just use iPhones. Works fine. Only thing I noticed is that the Walabot app doesn't like it anymore. Maybe I'll hack it to run a later android sometime so it isn't so fussy.
HOLY SHIT the travel adapter made me fucking crack up. So just so you know in english it says MADE IN VIETNAM but in russian ( if u can call the text russian) it says MADE IN CHINA. It is the best\worst travel adapter i have ever seen in my life. Thx SMOOREZ
These days have been buying Moto g series phones , used to buy cubot when going for cheap large battery devices . Thanks for reviewing this quality device so we don't have to :)
Your drop test is pretty flawed, IP cert only says 1.5m drops so waste height was spot on. Throwing it in the air, even a properly certified IP rated phone will likely crack. What's more important in those drop tests is checking angles of impact from relative smaller heights which depict more real life scenario's. Like dropping on a corner ( which is why rugged phones have some protection there ) or dropping flat ( which again is why a rugged phone never has a display that isn't recessed on some way ). Overall pretty fun though, long but that's what's we expect. Thanks btw for reminding me of those codes, maybe this time I will remember them.
I absolutely agree with what you are saying, I did want to do a bit of a more comprehensive durability test but I really just wanted to pull it apart instead. But I definitely will take it onboard for the next phone 100%. I appreciate the honest feedback!
This LOOKS like it could use a similar frame as my china phone, though mine is actually china branded and not shit and costed me about the same as this listing ( Ulephone Armor X8 ). The tripple camera and fingerprint location and button placement match, but not the sim slot location. Also, the Ulephone is actually legit rugged in that it does have water insertion protection. Anyway the camera island and fingerprint sensor location are shared among a lot of phones so not saying this is a Ulephone rip off. It's not a direct match at all, just optically close'ish in layout. And the actual form of the plastic is the first thing a clone manufacturer changes to 'differentiate' himself, it's the cheapest option since it doesn't change any of the internals and it's most effective since it optically changes the phone so people always notice the desired 'branding' effect.
I enjoyed the video. Thought: Motorolas are advertised as having a water resistant "nano coating" sprayed on the internal bits. I'm wondering if this phone has something similar. It clearly isn't water tight as all the droplets and the red badge of courage attests to; but it lived.
Does anyone have a clue what they were trying to say with “snatch red packets faster” Every time I hear this I am baffled by what it could possibly mean. The majority of the nonsense on these sites at least can be decoded

Those knockoff adapters have been saying that since forever, can't believe they still haven't changed it!
i love this phone. the random crashing reminds me of the kyocera rise crap i regrettably bought years ago
Most phones do this. They don’t die but it gets messed up by the water. Plus the adhesive adds more to that
Depends really if you cut off the power and then dry it off with an air compressor as an air can wouldn't be able to expel the water.
They don't, I have put my S10 fully submerged in water and it was fine just don't put it in acidic water like the ocean.
First sim IMEI is Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830V)
Second sim IMEI is Galaxy Ace as well
HOLY SHIT the travel adapter made me fucking crack up. So just so you know in english it says MADE IN VIETNAM but in russian ( if u can call the text russian) it says MADE IN CHINA. It is the best\worst travel adapter i have ever seen in my life. Thx SMOOREZ
You know what? This thing tried to punch so high I think you should try getting another screen for it.
The little underdog phone that could swim.
47:25 - Bees? Campfires? Honey? Has it been THAT long since I played Minecraft? (checks last installed version) Oooohhhhhh....
53:04 - Nokia N1? lol
I think if the Soc was made on the 10mm proces then it would be like a 5km square 😂
When you try face unlock, you should try your face and then a random face from the Internet to see if it unlocks with your face registered
Or his face and a picture of him
Ah yes, a phone with a soc more expensive than the entire phone, a Redmi Note 10 Pro wallpaper and One UI icons.
the track in picture that you don't know is in Japanese it is Aika -reruriri (rerulili) as Japanese don't differentiate between R and L.
Reading N series of Nokia
I notice they love the young at Welcome .
These days have been buying Moto g series phones , used to buy cubot when going for cheap large battery devices . Thanks for reviewing this quality device so we don't have to :)
The song at 10:04 is Aika by Rerulili
55:30 We call this state, " Bricked ". The Cellphone is Bricked.
Nah, I'd callit bricked only if it wouldnt even turn on. It was on a bootloop state. E se tu não concorda problema seu
@@SummonerArthur the case in this video would be specifically a "soft brick", the state you descripe would be a "hard brick"
22 petabytes? Time to download the internet!
I made it the whole way without skipping like always!
Wow that must off been horrifying?
18:35 Hey SMOOREZ, those are definitely Samsung wallpapers! I recognize a few of them from the Galaxy A series of phones.
Dreamcast was a power house and with some mods vga to hdmi its even beter. That makes my samsung j7 pro look like a princess.
30:20 cracked me up, omg laugh is hard 😂😂😂
THE IMEI of a Samsumg S5830 Galaxy Ace, explains the Samsun Features and the Android version.
When you watch plenty of it its models that you can guess the specs of each ones😎😎😎😎
53:03 ah yes, the good old Nokia N1
Looking through the files I found an apk called autodialer. Wonder if it originally set to connect to a remote tls or something.
Before I watch: They dunked the board in hot glue for waterproofing, didn't they?
Pass, IDC how good the specs are, but if they leave that 3.5mm audio jack off, it's no deal for me!
Mid range phone are good enough, decent performance, Camera's are good enough and most importantly for you, 3.5mm jack is still exist.
That kernel version is ancient...
The clock and the calendar app (i think) are the same as the aosp apps (ui only, I don't know if they changed the code)
So for a welcome device... 10/10?
For a phone... Still a 1/10?
Do you end up getting refunded for these scams or do you just foot the bill?
I died on these CPU-Z specs :D
"Mediatek Qualcomm" ah yes, legendary smartphone CPU 😂😂😂😂
We would have been happy with this phone 7-8 years ago
I was litterrallly dying from laughter when i saw the 'Mediatek Qualcomm 888'
the screen kinda looks like the a02 or like the dirt cheap a71 replacement screens
you absolute madman, you went with it 😁👍
Big Clive would happily dispose of any adapters you may have I'm sure. 😆
whats with the” Rubik’s cube technology” though?🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone have a clue what they were trying to say with “snatch red packets faster”
Every time I hear this I am baffled by what it could possibly mean.
The majority of the nonsense on these sites at least can be decoded
Must have something to do with the punch screen.
In China, they do use phones to enter giveaways, especially red packets during Chinese New Year. Hence "snatch red packets faster"
It's so outdated it catches viruses very swiftly 😛
@@TIMETECH07 That makes alot more sense, thanks for telling me that!
@@ksaspectre no problems
