@@pnwbikepackingI’m a Rob, I am so rob. Just ask my “Wilson” aka Bill. Bill if you read this (and you better cuz these are the guys I was talking about on our ride this morning) I appreciate you!
There is scarce content where I grin from start to finish but this does it for me. Genuinely makes me happy watching you guys. Arrange a group ride PLEASE.
Thanks Michael! Been stoked on all the content coming out of Bike, camp, and chill and the Bandon Crew! Keep it up! One of these days Rob and I are going to head down that way again and try to ride some bikes with you!
Love these videos. After RAGRAI this coming summer we plan on visiting the PNW and doing some trail riding. Right now we are winter caretakers on a very small island off the coast of New England. Videos like yours are helping pass some time on this beautiful however isolated place.
That's so cool, you combined bikepacking and backpacking adventure into one! 👍 A few years ago I did something similar but on the paved flat road. I rode cycled 450 miles from Jacksonville Florida to Franklin North Carolina in six days to hike to have a four day hike with friends.
@@pnwbikepacking I've been in Colorado for over a decade now but (shhh, don't tell anyone) it doesn't hold a candle to Washington & Oregon. Working on getting back there :D
Cool that you guys were able to do a trip, sharing mutual adventures. Also cool that you guys are friends and ride together. It’s hard to find fellow cyclists that ride at my pace. Nicely done, thanks for sharing! 🤟🤙
Hey Karl, I agree, Rob and I are both lucky to have each other as adventure partners. A lot of the time Rob and I are riding at different paces. In the morning I am usually in front, in the evening Rob is crushing me. Sometimes we are out of each others sight line too! There have been many trips where one of us has a bad day so we end up calling it early. I started bikepacking solo! You'll find your Rob!
Thanks man! I always struggle the the balance of narration and in-video chat. I use a Sony a7siii, I have had it for several years now and love it. I've though about making a video about the video equipment I use on bikepacking trips... Maybe 2023!
YES! Great video guys! Made my morning to watch you two having a blast together. One more week in the sun before returning to the snow in Yakima! Cheers from Mazatlan!
Super fun! and Rob is exceptional riding from Portland. Thanks for including bits from his ride at the end. I haven't been inspired to summit any of our local volcanos, but this video does move the dial a couple clicks closer.
Thank you! For the mount hood adventure I used a Dan Durstom xmid pro 2. I’ve only used it twice so far. For most of my subsequent trips this year I’ve opted heartier tents. (Tarp tent scarp).
Spectacular. Love the ambition of this sort of multisport climb. I'd be super pumped to see you guys take a stab at Rainier like this. Were you using an Insta360 on this one? I may be wrong, but I don't remember seeing shots like some of these before. Looked awesome Chris.
Another great one, guys. So .... the 'poop' thing - not biodegrading. How did I get this old (78) and not know about this? Is it just in certain types of climate? Has someone wrote a book on it? Thanks for keeping me entertained, and informed.
Thanks Terry! My main camera is a Sony A7siii. It's really designed to be more of a video camera, but it can take a decent still shot. Hard to get a bad shot of a sunset like that with a modern camera!
Man, I need a Rob in my life
Good luck finding a Rob. They are wild, disheveled, and will test your patience, but they are pretty fun to ride bikes with.

You guys rock, love the vibes with you and Rob, you guys make a great duo. Awesome video man!
Thanks Felix! Really appreciate it!
Wahoo
this video makes me miss summer soooo much. cant wait to get back into elevation!
That was an awesome time and the views were spectacular. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
As always, thanks for watching Al!!!
thank you for your videos, great footage, great editing and unbelievable shots, inspired me to go on my own adventures.
Hell yeah! Stoked to hear that David! Hope you have some awesome stuff lined up for 2023!

Thanks for watching Thomas! Your trip sounds awesome! Hoping to do more stuff like this in 2023.
Great stuff! Love it!
Thanks Max!
Love this. What an incredible way to fill a weekend!
Rob Kropped it! Great video as always. Your videos always make me miss the Northwest.
Thanks dude! If I left the PNW i'd miss it too!

Great ride/hike/ride, makes me long for better weather in Portland!
hah I totally get it, the sunny warm weather we had in October already seems like a distant memory! Lets hope for a nice spring!
Very cool. I soloed via the Adams Glacier in the mid 80's. That summit hut had just a few boards showing under the snow.
Nice work Doug! I hope to try a different route on Adams sometime in the next few years!

Awesome trip!
Thank you! It was fun to combine bikepacking with a climbing trip!
Those pictures you took of the sunset are mindblowing!
Thanks billy! When you have such a great sunset, it's easy to take awesome pictures!
Looks like so much fun and gorgeous scenery! I can hardly wait until we can make another trip west, my bucket list is impossibly long!
Thanks Julie! I totally feel you on that. The bucket list never seems to get shorter!
So awesome! The still images of the sunset and the mountain were amazing! Rad!
Thanks Joe!!

Woo! Thanks Fred! Enjoy soaking up the sun in Mazatlan!
Love the combination of biking and hiking Mt. Adams! I should at least try riding on the gravel roads! Thank you again for sharing your adventures
I definitely need to put this on my bucket list. It looks like you had perfect weather, too! What a great weekend!
Thanks Corrine. We really did have PERFECT weather! Hope you are able to make this trip happen, you'll love it!
Great video guys I have been looking forward to it since Rob mentioned it a few months ago and it was a great watch. Can't wait for the next one.

Love the video and the climb. Did You both switch to rear racks over seat post bags? And what grips are you using?
Another amazing adventure. With every video I ask myself again...Why dont I have a mtn bike?
Hardtail Mountain bike with 120-140mm of suspension is the most versatile bikepacking bike IMO! Time to get a MTN bike Mike!
Beautiful footage!
Thank you!

my legs hurt just reading the title
Hah, thanks for watching. (Or at least reading the title!). Our last ride around hood was WAY harder than this despite how it looks on paper!
Whats the camera setup for those stills? They look great!
