Lovely. I’m about to print a grip for my RAW HM1000X air rifle. It’s based on the AR15 platform as I got the chassis version. Similar grip costs 46 usd so that has to be a nice win as that $46 it almost the cost of a roll of filament which I got at $56. Using the MK3S+
Hey, that sounds great! That is a good win, plus more fun and much cooler knowing you made it yourself. The Mk3S will breeze that. Which material are you going for?
@@lunatic231 That will work great. I always stick with prusament and so far it has been spot on! I know it can be bought cheaper, but I like the quality.
@@MasonsWorkshop same here, I rather pay for the quality than to have gotten it cheaper and the whole roll is busted and can’t print for shit. Your videos were an inspiration to get into 3d printing, so much can be done. Great tool.
Also, nice RB on your background. Weird #3 with Alpha Tauri colors though! I take it you’re a Riccardo fan! I love heartbreak, because I am a Charles Leclerc Ferrari fan :)
It is the rebull practice livery from 2018. Always loved how it looked, I am a big redbull fan! I do like Riccardo but it has been hard to get behind him these last few seasons.
Yes, the part functioned well! PLA always surprises me with its strength! It wouldn't be a tool that lasts a lifetime, but for a few hours printing you cant go wrong.
Hey, I have not been relcalibrating after sheet cleaning, my assumption was nothing would change between cleaning. The bed is a fixed height and the sheet is a set thickness. I will keep an eye on it over my next few prints !

@@MasonsWorkshop I got the prusament red petg. I’m quite new to 3d printing but as far as I’ve seen, petg will be perfect for that.

So the million dollar question, the print looked beautiful, but was PLA strong enough to do what the part was designed for?

Pretty sure when you take your sheet off to clean it, you need to do a Z axis calibration before printing.
