also how are you homophobic for not shiping characters that are children and in the movie they do not have any chemistry and it is shown over and over again that they are friends and have more of a siblings best friend relationship? I don't really ship them either, but it looked to me that there was some developing crush feelings going on for Alberto towards Luca (which would make sense, seeing as they're canonically 13 and 14), and Luca is struggling with coming out. As someone who views this as an LGBT narrative, them having feelings for each other doesn't matter so much to me as all the other scenes taken as a whole that reference real situations most queer people deal with. I took and labeled something like 20 different screenshots referencing the LGBT tropes I could identify in that movie, and I'm sure there's a few I didn't pick up on. So the subtext seems rather deliberate in terms of a coming out narrative--but they don't even have to have feelings for each other to notice that.
Tbh, I'm fine with people headcannoning that they are gay, I see them as having a brotherly bond but it people see it in a romantic way there is nothing wrong with that! ^^
Unless its canon don't ship it BC a ship like this can easily ruin a fandom for instance look at the my hero academia fandom, the show is good but the fandom is now seen as cringey BC of the deku and bakugo ship and ppl have mad perverted edits and art of the characters that are CHILDREN. There are many more examples of this so don't ruin it
