The Sisters Of Battle did really good for this to be their first appearance in the DOW campaign games. Hopefully, they make another game and base it off of them.
Fun fact : If you have 1 squad of sister of battle equip with full flamethrower (It even better if you upgrade them) and attack together with a flamethrower tank (Don't upgrade it gun) , that will double the damage on enemy unit , and what more , the tank deal spread damage , and if you still want more damage ??? Attach the confessor in that squad , and boom good luck to any infantry unit, they gonna get burn to ash before they knew it :)

1. Build up and Defend until you tech up to get celestians and armor upgrade. 2. Approach high tier enemy vehicles, turrets and buildings with meltas and multimeltas. 3. Laugh zealously in high gothic. 1 squad is enough if you micro well, 2 squads is just funny. Of course, you also need at least 2 squads of sisters for it to be viable. One with flamers the other with heavy bolters to protect them. Or else a squad of cultists can make celestians useless.

My recomendation is to take the IG out before they can get their vehicles out and rolling. Once the IG have the proper vehicle support, they're extremely hard to stop if on the offense, and nearly impossible to crack if on the defense.

The only reason they're an all female force aside from their accompanying priests is because they were originally formed as a way for the Ecclesiarchy to get past the sanctions put on them post Goge Van Dire that stipulated something along the lines of the Ecclesiarchy not being allowed to have MEN in its service.
There was believed to be corruption and heresy among the Imperial Guards and the Space Marines, which is why they're set on purging every faction from the system. And also because they strong, independent and don't need no man.
As far as the Sisters Of Battle are concerned, everything is tainted with evil. Therefore, everything must be purged and only once enough have died will purity to restored.
Make sisters of battle and equip with flamers as a support if possible throw in some seraphim with their grenades to destroy enemy defenses Equip normal sisters with the flame grenades as well in order to kill infantry even faster

Even with Faith, i found them weak... This is due to lack of dedicated melee. So i rely on cheap Rhino rush strategy against AI :-( .

Best defense: Build up your army and only expand as much as you can. Once you get the heavy anti tank units out, then it is easy.
