    Hi, I learnt that "front sight post" is changeable.
    (1).So, Broad width or narrow width front sight post is better? (2). Is there any restrictions for maximum and minimum front sight WIDTH?
    (3). Thirdly, is there also restrictions on height of front post?)
    (4). Can I modify the front post by using 'file' to narrow and minimize it, if I don't have access to narrower front post to purchase?
    (5). Will the self "file modified" front post be allowed in major tournaments?
    (6). Fourthly on, REAR sight - is there restrictions on 'maximum width' and 'minimum width' of "U" in rear sight? (i.e., the gap on rear sight from which we align the front post). Thank you, anticipating your reply.👍👍❤️

      There are no restrictions on the size or shape of your sights except that they must be ‘open’ - that is the sights cannot be holes. However, ideally the front sight is around the same width as the black circle of the target, to make alignment easier. Ideally the rear sight is just slightly wider than the front sight, also to make alignment easier. You should be very careful to keep the edges flat if filing manually, and you’ll probably need to apply some form of rust protection after that.
      I would question the need to adjust the height of the sights because they are designed to be adjustable around the target area at 10m. If your aiming area is so far off the target that you have maxed out the rear sight adjustment in some direction, or your weapon does not shoot straight, those are more fundamental problems I would address first.

      @@wonghanxuan7620 Thank You so much. I learn a lot by watching and reading your every reply again and again.👍👍👍
      (You reminded me to "keep the Edges of front post 'Flat' while filing". By this, (1). Do you mean that FLAT front post will give us better sighting on the target. (2). Or, if the "TOP flat surface" front post is accidentally made 'pointed' or 'semi pointed' will we be disqualified? (Is pointed tip "front post allowed in major tournaments?). Thank you....anticipating your reply👍

      There’s no rule that the front sight should be flat, but it simply makes it easier to check that your sights are aligned - i.e. the tops of your front and rear sights form a nice, nearly continuous straight line.

    Congratulations for your many success, and also imparting valuable knowledge to people.(562, 566,568 scores👍👍✌️).
    Many people are unable to achieve these scores.
    Can you analyse, how Olympic shooters these days are able to achieve above 585 qualification scores. (What is the secret?) I guess it is their pistol technology and better pellets. Thanks..

      There’s no secret, and it’s not equipment - the pistol men’s world record was set more than a decade ago with an LP10, and shooters have been hitting 580+ long before that. Professional shooters train for hours almost every day, including physical training. Physical fatigue during their 60 shots is not an issue for them, they can repeat their shot routine as many times as they need to. Their physical condition and muscle memory is refined to the point that shooting a 10 is the norm - in a good training session they can shoot series after series of 10s. This level of technique and stamina is not achievable for those of us who can only train a few times a week. The only reason why these shooters don’t have perfect scores is lapses in concentration and other disturbances to their mental condition.

    Which pellet is best?

    • @wonghanxuan7620
      @wonghanxuan7620  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is really no ‘best’ pellet. RWS, JSB, H&N, Qiang Yuan, are all used at the highest level. But the same manufacturer will sell pellets in different grades, of which ‘Match’ grade has the highest uniformity and thus the best consistency. The highest grade pellets are usually packed in foam trays with each pellet held in its own hole so there is no possibility of pellets hitting one another during transportation.
