Sam's exaggerating, Dean emptying the gun on a monster is not the worst thing ever better to make sure it was dead. Dean showed no other signs of being out of control and all of that anger was directed at the right target so yeah I'm glad Dean shut down Sam for overreacting to something so minor.
I think its understandable for Sam being worried, they dont know alot about the Mark, and the last effect it had on Dean was making him a human and sure, he wasnt killed or even in danger in this episode but Sam’s being cautious to see if the Mark can do something else to Dean.
@@luisnovoselic8519 Yes I realize Sam's worried I don't condemn him for that but in this instance, it was the most minor of infractions. Dean without the mark would have done that on a good day especially if Sam's life is in danger just like when Dean beat the ghoul's head in over and over in Jump the Shark. If Dean had been showing signs of itching to kill something then Sam would be more justified in his reaction but he wasn't he was professional throughout so I like Dean feels that Sam is being a nag right now because Dean does not need a lecture from Sam just because he shot a monster more than once so it's better Dean shut down the conversation because it would have just led to a fight.
Sometimes you're truly left wondering what the writers are thinking. A mediocre episode to be sure, but i still snickered more than once. They reuse some tired jokes though. The whole Sam as bait for cougars, are they gay, blah blah blah. I kind of wish they'd left some of those jokes in the Kripke era.
