Can someone tell me why he has both of the daggerboards all the way up? I thought it should keep the boat more in line according to the heading - to reduce the drift sideways, so to speak. Thanx for your answers!
+Karl Mullen You use the dagger boards when going to windward to stop slipping sideways, when on a reach you are less effected by this lateral motion and the keel alone is sufficient. They pull them both up to decrees the wetted surface and therefore drag, allowing the boat to sail faster.
