Hi Adeola, You are Adorable... Thanks for this video... This has helped cleared my doubt... But must I do my Jupeb programme in any school I want to school in?
Hi. Thank you. ❤️ No, I don't think it's compulsory to do JUPEB in the university you want to attend. You can do it in another school, then use the result to apply for admission somewhere else.
Hello, I'm doing my jupeb program in a private centre. Do you think it's advisable?, and also, i haven't gotten any recommended literature text from the centre. Again, since it’s gonna be a cbt exam, are we going to be doing essay?
I'm not trying to get information with regards registration, I just want to talk to someone that has undergone the program completely (I'm fortunately going for law as well) To start with, after the program, when I enter 200L, will I have to re-take the entire 100L courses????
It depend on what you're studying. As a Law student in UNILAG, with my subject combination being IRS, LIT and GOV, I had classes 4 times a week, from Monday to Thursday. And 2 lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays, and just one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Hi thanks for the video but my question is about direct entry after JUPEB When exactly did you register for direct entry? Was it while you were attending JUPEB lectures or when your result comes out?
We registered for direct entry in March, If I'm not mistaken. And yes, classes were still ongoing and we hadn't even written the final Jupeb exam then.
Hi , which recommended textbook is best for Government , Essentials or Comprehensive. And for literature, in exam do they test u on all the novels or do u just choose 1. And are the questions based on the analysis of the drama or novel
For Government, I didn't buy any textbooks. I used Google and my SS3 government textbook. If you're thinking of buying one, I would advise that you look at the ones your mates have and make sure it has everything you're looking for. Because I randomly bought a literature textbook and it didn't even have all the analysis of the recommended texts. So that was a waste of 6k. 😗
For Literature, you are required to read all the recommended texts (I think they are 16 in total - 4 prose, 4 drama and 8 poems) The texts are divided into African and Non African. So, basically, out of the 4 prose works, 2 are non African and 2 are African. In exam, you will get questions from 1 selected African text and 1 selected non African text. (Of course, you won't know which one) So, you'll be required to answer one of the 2 questions. You can pick either African or Non African. There is also a Literary Appreciation section and the recommended Shakespearean text for the OBJ. So, you basically have to read all the texts.
Yes. The questions are based on the analysis of the texts. They could ask you to explain specific narrative techniques or themes or subject matter or characters. You could also be asked to explain how similar the text is to it's genre. For example, “how Jane Eyre is a Gothic novel?” Or “how Black Woman is a Negritude poem?”
I didn't do mass communication but I have a friend that did. She took Literature, Government and CRS. I also have another friend that took Economics in place of CRS.
@xoxoadeola was the jupeb main exams hard Cuz people are saying it's hard and I should not do it, that it's a waste of time Wat do u advice me to do pls🙏🏻
@@christabelbartholomew5414 There is no exam that is too hard to pass. JUPEB was definitely one of the hardest exams that I have written, but I still passed it. If I can do it, you can too. I would really advise you to study. Study! Study! Study! Use a lot of past questions, those were so helpful and I did see a lot of repeated questions. Do not skip your classes. Classes really matter and attendance also plays a huge role. I would advice that you study on your own, then once you write your first in course exam and you're not happy with your results, then you can consider applying to tutorials. I didn't do tutorials, but most of my friends that did got 16 points. They give you weekly exams or something like that and really help to prepare you. Most times, the tutorials were so far ahead of the actual lessons in class. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!
