  • My family and I have been eating these incredible ribs that Phil the Chef (My Father) has been smoking for over 30 years. Dry rubbed and hickory smoked, these ribs are nothing less than perfect to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This style of ribs still has a bit of a bite to it and needs no sauce! Phil the Chef explains exactly how he does it from set up to breakdown. Please enjoy this video !
    Rib rub:
    1 C Paprika
    1 C Kosher Salt
    1 C Brown Sugar
    1/3 C Black Pepper
    1/3 C Garlic Powder
    2 T Cumin

Great video! It's awesome to see multiple generations cooking and gathered around the table enjoying a meal together. Your dad's cabana shirt and hat are absolutely classic. I have a Weber Smokey Mountain myself and love cooking on it. Would be rad to see more WSM videos on your channel :)

Yes my dad has really spent time mastering the smoker. I’ve observed his techniques over many years. I’ll definitely put that in the list of ideas! Thanks for checking it out 🙏🥩❤️

Fantastic step-by-step instructions. You made using a smoker way less intimidating for a novice like myself. I look forward to buying one, one day and trying this recipe out myself!

What size smokey mountain smoker does he have (14”,18”,22”)? I’m looking to buy one.

Great video w/ your Dad imparting his acquired knowledge quite well! But, 2 things were unclear from the video. Did you add any more charcoal during the 4 hours, or was your initial amount enough? Did you add anymore wood chips for smoke?

Yes to the addition of more wood. Pretty sure he added it three more times at 30-minute intervals. That’s definitely a personal choice on how smoky you want them. Didn’t add more charcoal though, got a good 4 hours of cook time out of that batch. Hope that helps,
      Good questions!
