    Shibumi...... very, very popular on the beaches of NC..... bought one about 2 weeks ago... really nice...soooo much better than a traditional umbrella. I've since seen some other possible alternatives but I'm very pleased with the Shibumi

    We used ours today for the first time. I counted 25 other ones 😂. I guess they are very popular and people don’t mind paying the $250

      @@tommyhenriquezkayakangler8465 This is a great shade although the price has gone up! I paid 270 with tax almost 300.

    I really like this and will wait for the price to drop with competition. FYI. I saw someone tie/clip their beach bag to the back side to keep it relatively shaped correctly when the wind died. Might be a good idea to bring a small optional sandbag for that contingency. Also, our beach is on the Gulf and the normal breeze is pretty much straight in all day with the Sun moving left to right. Perfect for this!

    I have one that I bought last summer. For the most part it works really good but doesn’t give you shade like a canopy will. I went through several canopies so I opted for the Shibumi. It’s way overpriced for what it is. To me, the price should be somewhere between $75.00 to $100.00. I’m on my second summer with it and unless it holds up for another 4 summers then it’s just not worth the asking price. I give it a 7 out of 10 rating. By the way, I live at the beach in NC, same town where it was invited. I use mine every weekend from March until mid October.

    We have one & use it on days where an umbrella won’t work. Only complaint is that it can be noisy

      @@Jeffreviews4u love it so much that we even purchased the mini. Easier for me to set up than an umbrella on the days when I fly solo, lol

    It's way too expensive for me especially when wind is needed. Don't get me wrong it's a good product and I like the ease of set up but there's less expensive ones that work well. 💕

    it provides shade, but is the fabric have an SPF? Is it effective against UVA and UBV rays? Is does not say on the website.

    Looks nice an easy to setup + being lite to carry all the way to the water line. With it being intermittent shade I think I'll stick with my popup. Can't be napping and have this thing try to suffocate me! :D

    Perhaps if it had poles at the back as well as the front then you wouldn't have that problem when the wind drops. to the cost of it...NO thank you i could make one of those for nothing.

    • @Jeffreviews4u
      @Jeffreviews4u  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a pretty simple design, I was surprised by the price, especially since there are less expensive options that will hold up when there is no wind. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙂

    Excellent. I want one but it would be really annoying if everyone on beach also had one. How about the noise factor from the flapping. Earplugs required?

    • @Jeffreviews4u
      @Jeffreviews4u  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I used it, I noticed the flapping was loud when the wind speed was 20-25+...otherwise it wasn't as annoying.

    Fantastic invention, the cost is not practical for the average consumer. If you included lifetime guarantee for material, perhaps more people would purchase your item.

      Tried that on mine. Unfortunately it didn't work in moderate-wind conditions due to the air current's natural updraft flow underneath the canopy. This flow is what levitates the 1.1 oz polyester ripstop canopy tarp but poses a problem once the tarp portion becomes fixed.
      With the back half unable to free-float, the draft gets trapped in the mid section (like a wind sail) and collects so much of the wind that it tore the shade structure out of the ground. That said, it did work well in conditions when the wind was 4mph or less.
