    Hey Mark! Thanks for creating this video!
    I'm a total noob regarding databases and game development. I found your video because I was searching for solutions for an RPG game idea I had and how I would manage player choices.
    Watching your video, my impression is that one way to manage databases efficiently is by creating data marts around certain aspects of your game, for example organizing by your game's levels. Anyway, I learned a lot from your video, so thanks!

    If we should avoid downtime as much as possible to take advantage of those peaks, then relational DBs are not a good option, since they're not that good in horizontal scaling like NoSQL ones. So the only options are NoSQL DBs like Firebase, Mongo, or maybe Google's Spanner (which is relational AFAIK)? Am I right?
