I haven't seen a concept like this before. It's interesting but I think I'd forget to fill it in, lol. I struggle to keep a tracker going daily. But it is a great idea for knowing where you are allocating you're time each day.

This is my first time using this system! We’ll see how it goes 😆 I’m trying to get better at tracking.

I have a different take on the blank space, and it might help others. If you didn’t use all the time for the task, and the task is done, then it’s just found time for other things. Like the old adage, over promise and under deliver, or the flip side give yourself margin time for life happening and then you don’t have to catch up later because you have built in being slightly ahead of the minimum.
I would not like overflowing the allocated space and so adding extra to something would make me feel like I hadn’t planned well enough. Just a different thought.
Good video and I like your take on Matt’s process. I had seen his videos a few times and it never really sunk in. This time it did.
I can also see it working for things other than time. I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year for my first time. The goal is to write 50,000 words throughout November. I figured out how many days I actually have to write, 15, and then divided into the goal to get the daily minimum word count, 3334 words. To add that life buffer I mentioned above, I’m going to bump that to 4000 words per day. I could see making the same bar graphs for 4 hours of time per day, but each 15 minutes square would be equal to 500 words. I am picturing a page, or two, with 15- 16 squares bar graphs to use to track the words accomplished.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, and thus helping me with figuring it out.

Yes, every system should be adapted to fit your needs. I’m glad you got something out of this video. Good luck with your NaNo goal.

This was so very helpful! I thought the allistair method was the pinnacle of organization but this is really awesome! Seems like it would actually motivate one to be more productive for those of us who love to fill in boxes;) this was a really great tool! Thank you!

    It's just time blocking?!
