Quite literally every single Dizzy Mizz Lizzy song is an absolute classic. Literally everyone in my generation knows Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and loves their songs.
You should listen to more of their music. It's criminal how underrated they are, and it's such a shame they never made it big outside of Denmark/Europe.

"Silverflame" is a metaphor for the sort of smoke you get when smoking heroin on a piece of tinfoil paper.
"In the garden there's a cheap hotel. Only invited if your things went well" (ie only invited to a rehab clinic if people find you interested in getting clean).
"Take control of my mind, of my heart and of my soul. What a shame Silverflame couldn't burn forever" Nah in the end addiction either kills you or take over your life.

I never thought of it that way. My interpretation:
      "Silverflame" is love.
"In the garden there's a cheap hotel" - The church in which you can get married - only if your thing went well though.
"Take control of my mind, of my heart and of my soul. What a shame Silverflame you won't burn forever" - Tim sadly acknowledging that love doesn't last forever.

@@Satyr_83 "Girl in a glassbox dressed in white. Happy enough to commit suicide. She said, Silver's gonna burn forever"
I still think the song is about heroin addiction.

      > "In the garden there's a cheap hotel. Only invited if your things went well"
      > [This means heroin addiction, or love and a church marriage]
Huh. Given the mention of death (suicide) I've always taken this to refer to the garden of Eden. Only those who lived the right kind of live-whose thing went well-are invited into heaven, in which everything. Also, the are are multiple mentions of eternity ("burn forever"), and burning = fire = passion, intensity, dynamism, energy, life force-also suggesting living forever, i.e. going to heaven.
Not sure what the denigration of the afterlife (by calling it cheap) is all about, though.
Oh well, Mr. Rorschach called. He wants his lyrical inkblot interpretations back.

Tim Christensen (lead singer and guitarist) once said that he himself has no idea what the lyrics mean, but he have heard a lot of different versions. When he wrote the song he thought to himself that if other grunge bands could succeed by writing things that mean nothing, he could as-well.

I've for a long time thought for myself that "Silverflame" was the danish answer to "Come as you are". Melodic, quiet in some parts, wild in others...and a damn good song :)
I had the pleasure to see them 2 times this year, and hopefully will again next year.
Weird they never got bigger in at least Europe, while they are big in Japan :)

    Sorrow hides under the water
    Sorrow is my only friend
    Sorrow stands beside the doorway
And sorrow needs a helping hand
Girl in a glass box dressed in white
    Happy enough to commit suicide
She said that silver's meant to burn forever
Sleeping forever in a bubble of blue
Would you like to see her point of view?
She said that silver's meant to burn forever
    Forever
Say my name silverflame take control
Of my heart of my mind and of my soul
What a shame silverflame that you can't burn forever
And in the garden is a cheap hotel
Only invited if your thing went well
She said that silver's meant to burn forever
Sleeping forever in a bubble of blue
Would you like to see her point of view?
She said that silver's meant to burn forever
    Forever
Say my name silverflame take control
Of my heart of my mind and of my soul
What a shame silverflame that you can't burn forever

Way to bring in something I've never heard of. Kind of like you said, not playlist but if interest just the same!
I would like to see y'all review some known bands' lesser known songs. For example one of my personal favorite bands, Collective Soul, have put out several albums since their heyday in the 90s and they have some good music. It would be cool to get a review on them or someone else similar who have some good stuff we just haven't heard.

Actually it isn't. The composer, Tim Christensen, recently stated that the lyrics are pure nonsense. He just put together words that sounded cool.

I wonder if you had the same sound as presented here in the video? Half the guitars are missing for both acoustic and electric. Kinda terrible actually. Really!
