Thanks for this👍please what if we are making for a long pencil skirt, what measurements do we take out to contour the down part
You're welcome ma'am ❤
The difference is just the length, once you come down by 4 or 5 inches ( for you butt contouring) then from the lower length you will come in by 0.5 inch the rule it straight up.
Please ma I wanted to ask, if I'm to make a gown with half cut, do I need to also shape the front and back waist line the same way you did with the skirt waist in this tutorial? I mean cutting of the 1/2inch at the back waist line as well as the 1.5 inches at the front waist line, I will await your response please. I just subscribed and liked, thanks
🎉
Yes ma'am, this works well for gowns too... This skirt pattern was actually used for a gown and it also works well for a normal skirt... Thanks also for subscribing to my channel, I hope you find every video educative ❤
Great tutorial ma but please i ve a question wen taking body measurements to shape the skirt ow do we do it do we shape with the front hip measurement or d back hip measurement
You will take your measurements the normal way you do that is your "round hip", pls watch the beginning part of the video... It is when you are drafting that you will do those calculations... It is in the video ma'am, I wrote the required measurements.. Thanks for watching ❤
I think you just shape with the sewing allowance added
Thanks for the video ma'am, but my concern is after cutting, because of the difference in hip measurement, (that is subtracting 1inc from the front and adding to the back), the back bodice was wider than the front bodice on the hip area. So how does one join the back and front together?
You're welcome anytime...
Oh yes, there would be a slight difference between the front and back but when you're shaping your clothes you will need to pin first, then work with the front result...
Also pls shape from the front skirt...
The alteration will reflect on the bum area of the back...
I'm working on a video that will show you how to shape our contoured skirt❤️
Thank you so much ma'am🙏. Your response is very explanatory. Looking forward to your video on the shaping.
Please ma'am I got confused when u start to draft this measurement on the material
Which part were you confused at? Can you pls indicate it.
Also, new suggestions don't get understood at once except you study the process well, so I would rather suggest you watch it repeatedly and also make some jottings, this would really help you.
Ma pls can i use this method for a gown?
I have a tutorial video on how to make a basic gown, You can click on the link below

Well done. I'm a bit confused here with your back contouring, where you went from the hip 5inches, you went in 1.5inches but that your marking doesn't look like 1.5inches rather it looks like 0.5inch. please clarify me thanks
I actually went in by 0.5 inch, and I said 0.5 inch too but I noticed that my voice sounded like 1.5 inches... Sorry for the confusion but it is 0.5 inch.
Thanks for the observation ❤
Thank you so clear
I want ur no to put me fully in ur class pls
You're welcome 😊
I don't have any class yet but I'm working on that already... You can make suggestions on what you want me to make a video on
