whoah, try doing an uninstall/reinstall. If not the properties should provide some way to reset the settings. Steam>Library>Games>Right click game name>Properties I expect there should be a solution in there
@@jerxmee8829 Taking a look now, one solution states taht graphics get messed up pretty easily if you're using an AMD graphics card, so try setting "Contrast" to 1 in the visual style menu. Another solution you can try is the verify file integrity feature. Library - right click game - properties - local files - verify file integrity. Looks like the true way to reset progress with this game is also different. I've found a suggestion that worked for another that says to delete the main-user.cfg file in the config folder. (library - right click - properties - local files - browse local files) then go to config and you'll find it there. Let me know if any of these help out, that game is pretty different so I'm not surprised my video wasn't helpful.

Doesn't work with Terraria. I played the game and I placed my player and world on steam cloud. So now I could play on a different computer. After multiple hours in the new computer I went back to the other computer. Before running the game it asked if I wanted "my computer" or "steam cloud". I had no idea what it meant but I chose steam cloud. Suddenly, when I got on the game my player and world is exactly how it was before I switched computers. So I lost multiple hours of progress. Both methods didn't work and I can't find any forum talking about this.
Im confused, thus series is about how to reset game progress and not how to trick the system so two computers can run different variations of the same game. I think what you should do is repeat whst you did before but pick "my computer" instead of the cloud (so now, only the local info from your pc is used, and won't reach out to the cloud to collect the old characters and worlds). I'm not sure what else to tell you asife from the obvious fact that you can delete characters and worlds within the game already, not sure what you're trying to achieve here.
@@TheJawesomeOne In Terraria you can play the same character on the same world on two different computers. (not at the same time obviously) Although, you need to put the world and the character on cloud. (It's a game feature) But I lost my progress when going back to the original computer. @Happy Stalker - mod files are easy, use the workshop-mods section of steam and "unsubscribe", as for map files you'd have to search through your games' local files, and depending on the game even that might not work.

wowee, sometimes I'm really bad about responding. Here's what the forums have to say, forum link: steamcommunity.com/app/40800/discussions/0/535150948607720789/ Turn off Steam cloud, then go into your SMB folder and delete savegame.dat (maybe even .bak?). Well that should work, it worked for me at least (did it last week). Here is my solution for OS X: 1. Turn off Steam Cloud for Super Meat Boy (Super Meat Boy -> properties -> updates -> disable Steam cloud); 2. Remove files: - /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat - /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat - /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat.bak 3. Launch the game 4. Check if progress is 0% 5. Close the game & enable Steam Cloud again and the last one: Do you try to keep your old save as a backup? If there's Steam cloud disabled, you should be able to go into your saves folder (.../Steam/SteamApps/common/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat) and just delete it (maybe put it on a usb stick and then delete it, just in case you want it back). Close the folder and reopen it, it should not be there anymore. If it isn't, check once more if Steam cloud is disabled (Super Meat Boy -> properties -> updates -> disable Steam cloud) and then start the game. That is most likely exactly what you have tried already, but I was thinking that maybe (just maybe) you either forgot Steam cloud or you may have only copied your save file, but didn't delete it. I really hope you just forgot something, otherwise I have no idea how to fix your problem, since it actually should work that way. let me know if any of these worked for u.
I used to cheat in csgo and now I don’t anymore and whenever I create a new account I just get put against hackers over and over again will this fix my issue?

I came across the second method on YT because I was trying to reset Risk of Rain, realized it wasn't working, then had the thought to check the discussion forums on steam and found a solution there. Question, when you reset your game on steam is there any thing you have to do after the instructions you gave, in perticluer cutting back on the game save to click it back on,
the game data just makes a copy of itself after i delete it. i'm talking about TABS or totally accurate battle simulator, got the game number, went into the userdata folder, deleted everything in the folder, and when i start the game nothing changed, and when i exited it it just made another copy of my save data.
I need help, I download and installed jump force. But there was some problem with that game, it keeps crashing after 1 round. So I downloaded and installed from fitgirl. Now it keeps loading the data from previous game and crashes like happened before. Help will be appreciated
I don't know anything about this fitgirl that would help you. All I can say for starters is you should've made sure you can trust the source before you put their software on your PC. Gather log files and post them to various websites like Github and the Steam forums, there you'll find at least another person who's in a similar circumstance. Also try using Steam's "Verify File Integrity" feature, because if that works for Jump Force it proves that the game is running as the devs intended and your bug is related to something outside of Steam's control. Library - right click "jump force" - properties - local files - verify file integrity. that's all the info I can think of to help you out. Take care
I don't know, this sounds like one of those online-type games where your info is stored on third party servers. You're welcome to try any methods you like and if neither work and/or this causes problems you can always do this: Steam - library - game name (right click) - properties - local file - verify file integrity. Don't be afraid to experiment!
When i go on userdata and check the files, none of the numbers inside the file correspond to the one of the game im trying to restart, the name of the game is crusaders kings 2
Is this guide will help me delete all my cloud saves because I wan't to try to clean all my saves even tho i never have used steam cloud, but me and alot of other ppls claim that when u launch games for example csgo with completly new fresh account the game become more smoother less input lag etc?
I wouldn't know anything about what a fresh acc would do as far as gameplay smooth-ness. However these methods cant be used to reset an online game, because the devs set up servers to store your acc data.
If I reset this way and then I play again will it save new work that I do, for example I reset and then I made a new character and stuff and then I exit and the next day I go back on will my progress in the game get saved
If you want to get that back, there is a sure fire solution I know of. Steam Library - right click game name - properties - local files - verify file integrity This tells steam to make sure every file needed for the game to run properly is there, so if the deleted file doesn't return then its probably used for something other than running the game, such as storing progress. As far as that goes I don't know of any easy way to recover a lost file. Let me know if nothing else works because there are more solutions I know of, they just aren't this eady to pull off.

@@TheJawesomeOne Reset most of the game with verify integrity, I'm just mad that it doesn't look like it did when I first got it anymore. Ever since I did a recording on it it hasn't been the same. Im steal dealing with some graphic flaws but it seems to be better than before. Thanks.
I can no longer pick ''my computer'' cause it was only asked once. It's okay now cause I went to a server and took every item I lost.

Here's what the forums have to say,
forum link: steamcommunity.com/app/40800/discussions/0/535150948607720789/
Turn off Steam cloud, then go into your SMB folder and delete savegame.dat (maybe even .bak?). Well that should work, it worked for me at least (did it last week).
Here is my solution for OS X:
1. Turn off Steam Cloud for Super Meat Boy (Super Meat Boy -> properties -> updates -> disable Steam cloud);
2. Remove files:
- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat
- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat
- /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Super Meat Boy/UserData/savegame.dat.bak
3. Launch the game
4. Check if progress is 0%
5. Close the game & enable Steam Cloud again
and the last one:
Do you try to keep your old save as a backup?

I'm assuming the other method works just fine. This is why I made this video.
I came across the second method on YT because I was trying to reset Risk of Rain, realized it wasn't working, then had the thought to check the discussion forums on steam and found a solution there.
If neither of these are working, then the game is likely either online (can't be reset) the situation is non-applicable to this video (trying to fix a bug or glitch for example) or the game uses some kind of save-file system where its normally very easy to reset progress on anyways.
umm it still doesn't work. instead it does a little pop up thing (you know when you are in windowed mode? that's the same thing but WAY smaller)
Question, when you reset your game on steam is there any thing you have to do after the instructions you gave, in perticluer cutting back on the game save to click it back on,
None that I can think of. This sounds like it could be a game with a save file system which this video isn't made for (see my pinned comment)
Do any of these methods work on an online game? I couldn't find 'save.ini' in 'Smite'
the game data just makes a copy of itself after i delete it. i'm talking about TABS or totally accurate battle simulator, got the game number, went into the userdata folder, deleted everything in the folder, and when i start the game nothing changed, and when i exited it it just made another copy of my save data.
Take care
How do we delete the save Data for Among Us Tho?
wich file is it for BTD6 local files steam_appid.txt or steam_api64.dll
I don't know, this sounds like one of those online-type games where your info is stored on third party servers. You're welcome to try any methods you like and if neither work and/or this causes problems you can always do this:
Steam - library - game name (right click) - properties - local file - verify file integrity. Don't be afraid to experiment!

For the second method, do i need to enable the cloud after i delete the userdata folder?
so if i have 300 comp wins and im global elite and if i do this will it then make me "win 10 rounds to show rank"?
No idea, I expect it won't do anything, since you cant reset data for an online game.
I tried to reset KurtzPel data but I can't 🤔
Situation: I deleted a file in the game. So will this help reset everything back to normal including returning back a deleted file.
If you want to get that back, there is a sure fire solution I know of.
Steam Library - right click game name - properties - local files - verify file integrity
This tells steam to make sure every file needed for the game to run properly is there, so if the deleted file doesn't return then its probably used for something other than running the game, such as storing progress. As far as that goes I don't know of any easy way to recover a lost file. Let me know if nothing else works because there are more solutions I know of, they just aren't this eady to pull off.

Whoa, yeah this video wasnt meant to cover this kind of issue at all. Lets start with a simple uninstall and reinstall. Then try to Verify File Integrity (if you dont know how, just ask. Most commenters already know about this.)
Also bear in mind the reason these methods didn't work is because the video is about resetting game progress. Skyrim uses a save file system which is why there is no save.ini located where the video says it should be.
