About the test:
Toyota recently introduced the new versions of both the Auris and Avensis. But more importantly their new safety package, called: 'Toyota Safety Sense'. It offers a number of safety features previously only seen on more luxurious and more expensive cars. The Auris we are testing also gets a new turbocharged 1.2 liter petrol engine and a new 1.6 liter diesel engine replacing the former 2.0 diesel. The engine for the hybrid version of the Auris is still the same with a 1.8 liter petrol that combined with the electric motors has an output of 136 hp and 142 Nm between 2.800-4.400 rpm. But this car can also have a fuel use of just 3.5 liters every 100 kilometers. Impressive figures. So what's changed then, you might ask. Well a lot actually, check it out in the video above.

@@andytlwy hey 👋, it's been running perfectly, no weird noises or anything to worry about unlike basically all other cars I have owned. Its now going to its first free yearly check via Louwman. What milage and price are you looking at now? I had a 190k km 2015 model for 9800€.
@@malloott seems like a good deal now with todays inflated prices! I see on autoscout Similar year/km is closer to €13k . I was looking for something with lower mileage (under 70k) and a couple of years younger and everything seems to be around €17-20k (I am searching automatic transmission though) but yeah it’s also just time weird times we are in and the price of Occasions in NL

Good review. As the owner of the facelifted 2015 model i would only add three things: The break pedal feel is really, really awful (previous car was a FN2 CTR), the double-armrest is a pain to operate and the lack of mechanical volume adjusting is really unpractical and cumbersome/slow. Other than that I am very satisfied with the car.
+k4muk3nu Thanks for the comment. Coming from a Type-R I can understand your feelings on the brake pedal feel, it's quite a different car. As far as the armrest goes, that depends on the equipment and packages the local dealerships use, for instance the armrest here is an option. Also the volume adjusting is done only from the rear bench itself and can't be done from the rear like some other cars now have. Matter of time maybe?

What year is the car
hi there. nice video I liked it. one question, what do you think about the engine noise inside the car when driving on highway ?
Engine noise is decent. You can hear some noises because of the rpm of the CVT-gearbox but that is still acceptable.
You recommend buy One with 120000km on it or it's too much
It is not to much. I have seen this model with 300k km.. no problem for this car.
But the jumps of the subtitle are irritating!!
Annoying subtitles - they jump around all over the place !! Arrggghh.
Better than no subtitles, right? ;-)
