I would just like to state by seeing all the comments, as their mod, this is how the guys have chosen to react to the songs and films themselves. They wanted to react to the short films but also wanted to react to the songs. Yes the boys know the songs have no connection with the films what so ever (I’ve also told them this many times as well) but if I’m being honest here I’m over seeing the comments telling them about how THEY choose to react to bts content. The boys absolutely love bts and actually plan to react to their variety shows and such moving forward. That being said I’ve told the boys how much the BU is crazy in depth and whether the boys decide to explore the BU or not is their choice but I appreciate the boys for how authentic they are at reacting to the music and how much they appreciate the songs themselves. Please keep supporting the boys in their future endeavors and if you have any ideas for them moving forward then join the discord. Anyways IM SO GLAD YOU BOYS LIKED STIGMA ITS SUCH A GREAT SONG❤️(maybe I’ll have y’all react to live performances of these songs before I introduce y’all to blood sweat and tears👀)

One thing to point out is that Tae actually has an extremely good relationship with his father and considers him as his role model, regardless of the meaning of the song, I wanted to clear this part cause I used to think the same as baby army and the truth couldn’t be further away from the BU

Stigma is basically he's being labelled for that one mistake he did & people only think about that when they look at him. It's so intense that he's guilt driven his whole life & he wants to confide it to someone, but ends up feeling guiltier as that person is disturbed & blames him for burdening them with this. He tries finding some comfort in his brother & sister but feels downweighted. This song is from the first perspective it's basically a guilt ride & how that one thing he did has become his whole definition.

i''m not sure who told you he hasn't talked about it. V has been open about the song. In part Its about his feelings of thinking he wasn't good enough/failed too often and it hurt his team. He held back his emotional pain not sharing how he was suffering. He finally broke down telling Jimin and then the members. Please do yourself a favor and watch the live performance!
You're right. The BU story line is about domestic abuse.

V recently explained that the song concerned his feelings at that time. He felt he wasn't good enough. He was going through a hard time as was all the members the pressure of the success etc. but he was most affected and felt he let other members down. But V's music ,vocals gets to you. And that's hard for most singers. You should listen the live performance..his voice his performance. I can't explain. You have to watch it. Thank you for reacting to Stigma.

Sorry, but the explanation of V’s burnout didn’t have anything to do with stigma, he wrote Stigma way before his burnout. His burnout had to do with V writing the lyrics to blue & grey. V has explained that Stigma is about his character in the BU.

For me, (even though I know the story line) Being a spectator to domestic violence impacts a person to their core. being a victim of domestic violence cripples you whether you saw a loved one being hurt. or yourself. It's difficult to deal with and marks you for life. It's hard to go through the grieving stages in life when you continuously try to fight it or ignore it. I know how hard it is personally. In the end there's always consequences. V is my bias because of his vocals and R&B vibe, but Stigma hit home with me. I lived and breathed it growing up. The hardship of your mental and emotional experiences through life is difficult, like you said, I've had to try and balance the good and bad in my life (I'm nearing 60, and it still has its talons in me). I always enjoy your reactions, so thanks!

I’ve always thought this song was about his siblings. From what he has said, he is much older than his brother and sister, and he doesn’t really have a relationship with them. He said they just text each other when they are planning birthday gifts for their parents. I wonder how their upbringing was compared to his. V’s family pre-BTS was poor farmers, and he was mostly raised his grandmother because his parents had to work. I’m guessing his siblings have had a much different experience. But yeah, no one knows.

The comment about good and evil as opposed to good vs. evil is so spot on for this film. If you remember back to one of the earlier BU MVs (i'm a failure who can't remember if it was RUN or I NEED U), V's character st@bs a man who was beating a girl, and we see those people again in this film. It was an act of violence serving as an act of protection, so both extremes were there, but this film seems to show that V's character and the world around him are able to see actions as only one extreme or the other. It seems as if the focus on that false dichotomy might be worsening the suffering shown in the film.

The lyrics that really get to me are the part of the chorus about broken pieces of glass pushing deeper because a broken glass bottle is what V's character use to st@b someone in a previous BU MV, so I think you're right about the song being connected to the video. I'm sure the lyrics are very personal, but they were able to twist the lyrics to fit the story too.

Hola chicos!

I think the channel Bagtanie Subs has English subtitles for all the films, but it may have all the films in a single video. I really enjoy watching you try to break things down, but watching you try to figure it out without subtitles even though you know the subtitles are giving important information makes my brain itch. It's like the meme of someone saying "this is fine" in the burning room. If you keep watching the original videos that don't have subs, will you pleeeeeeease go back and watch the subbed version after you've watched the rest of the films? I think you'd enjoy a rewatch anyway since you'll be able to see the connections you couldn't have known about in the first watch just because of the release order.

V actually did talk about the song. And I see some comments. I think they're a little off, but it is possible I misunderstood him. He - from my understanding - wrote this about fights that he had, especially with the members, but in general with people he cared about. Things he would say in anger. And then like, why didn't I say I was sorry? Why did I stay silent even though I wanted to tell you I was sorry? And, he would feel guilty Because he wouldn't have the courage to say Im sorry first. He'd feel guilt but not be able to deal with it. I think we can all relate to that. In general, I got the impression it was multiple events before he learned how to be better at expressing his feelings. And being able to resolve arguments without hurting someone in anger. The video is not connected to the song necessarily. Although you can see his guilt and then growth. But it also has lots of BU references not connected to V's life.

Nope wrong, the song and the video are not related, that’s why I wish your army leader didn’t take you down this road, this is all tied to the Bangtan Universe which a fictional story line.
Rm helped write this song with V, to this day it’s never been said what the son is about, V’s father is his real life hero, he has always said he wants to be a father like his dad, V at the age of I believe 12 lived with his grandparents who were the ones who raised him, no one knows the reason why his grandparents raised him, it may have been because his family being poor it was hard to raise 3 kids or since V is the oldest he may have helped his grandparents on the farm, well he did help, but not sure if there was a reason or not. Anyway as I started to say Rm was explaining the songs of wings album & when it was about Stigma he said Taehyung wrote it & that he can't explain the hidden meaning behind the lyrics! It's Taehyung's very personal song. There is one theory that is not generally discussed in the fandom so I am not going to even say what I believe it’s about, will most likely get hate comments saying this so I would try figuring out or have opened this can of worms, especially now.
As I’ve said these short stories from wings all pertain to the BU which is very complex storyline not based on anything related to the boys personally ( the MV & storyline ) the songs do have personal meanings to the boys, like with Jungkook begin is about his love of his brothers ( members ) since they were the ones who basically raised him, Jungkook has said many times that he thinks that because of this he is who is is today, a little piece of each of them.
I believe XCeleste made a video that explains the whole BU if you want to understand the story, again it’s not just from the video’s & songs, but there are also 2 books written that go along with all of this, very complex you won’t be able to figure out on your own. Many haven’t

Keep in mind that Tae is also an actor and with the emotion he can put into his voice he can make you believe anything!
14:48 Jake is correct. The guilt is from being a coward and not doing something sooner to end the abuse. See not murder, self-defense.

introspective song that explores feelings of guilt, remorse, and regret. The lyrics express the artist's struggle with hiding his true self and the consequences of not being able to protect someone he cares about.

In the opening verse, the artist confesses to having hidden something, a secret or emotion, for a long time. They express frustration about not being able to bear it any longer and question why they couldn't speak up when it mattered the most. This suggests a fear of vulnerability and the weight of unexpressed emotions building up over time.
verall, "Stigma" is a poignant exploration of the complex emotions tied to guilt, regret, and the desire for forgiveness. Through introspective and evocative lyrics, BTS invites listeners to reflect on their own mistakes and their impact on others. The song showcases the group's ability to delve into sensitive themes and create resonant music that speaks to the depth of human emotions.

My comment is part from an investigation of an ARMY from the Catholic University of Perú her name is: Fernanda Mía Chávez Eyzaguirre. This will help you to understand the meaning behind this video.
"The short film "STIGMA" chronologically represents chapters 2 ("Cain") and 3 ("The Evil Thief") of Demian. However, the quoted narrative at the beginning belongs to the first chapter: "It was [...] the first blow to the pillars upon which my childhood had rested and which every man has to destroy in order to be himself. [...] The tear heals and is forgotten, but inside the being, it continues to exist and bleed" (Hesse 2012: 28). The quote refers to the moment when Sinclair feels superior to his father for not being able to uncover his secret. This break with the divinity of the father is even more pronounced in the case of V, who is not lying to his father but has murdered him. During the interrogation, when the police ask him about his parents, the reflection of a woman is seen in V's pupils, who later appears in short film number 6: MAMA (this recurring symbol in both shorts, linking them, allows considering J Hope, the protagonist of MAMA, as V's new guide or guardian), and later denies the existence of his parents (1:38 - 1:50). When intercepted by the police, V is painting a graffiti with the figure of Abraxas, who, in the novel, "According to Pistorius, [...] can also be considered a god of dreams. [...] Pistorius believes that what one sees in dreams must be what the dreamer does, and one should not fear the consequences of acting on those dreams" (Lee 2016: 39). This echoes the titles of the chapters associated with the short film: a stigma that falls upon one who is not afraid of their dark side and listens to it. Before the end of the short film, the phrase "There are only whales that speak a different language than mine" appears (2:58), and then V requests to make a call, which will try to be answered in vain by RM in "REFLECTION." This refers again to the calls for help that Sinclair makes to Demian in his dreams."

The lyrics of the song are from his personal life, something unknown, it has no relation to the bangtan universe

You guys are misinformed. V has told us what this song is about. He explained that it’s based on what his character was going through in the BU. He said that based on what the character went through, it was a case that his character started to go in the wrong direction and that he started to enjoy the pain. People continue to misinform others that V hasn’t said what it’s about because of what RM said, but that is pure speculation. Yes V may have some personal angle to it which we don’t know, but please be careful in the information provided. V has told us all what this song is about. And this video is reflective of the song 100%, despite what others are saying. By the way there are videos on TH-cam where V explains what this song is about so please check your facts.
    Here is a link to a clip (@ 0:40) where V talks about Stigma - th-cam.com/video/_K9w5rLfHK4/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
