I took the washers that came with the surron peg and stuck them between the top of the peg and the bottom of the peg mount and then stuck the pin through then added some washers in between where the spring is to keep it pushed down so it doesn’t moveand then put another washer on the bottom where it should go
If there's "play" in the fitment, add a spacer to fill the gap and they'll be fine. Most people add these footpegs to the Sur-ron as one of their first cheap upgrades and they're actually pretty strong and durable.
The biggest issue for me is the possibility of the spring failing (like 2:12) and pegs going floppy mid ride. Spacers could help the play but the space where the spring catches is wider on the amazon pegs regardless.
it was one of the biggest purchases I've ever made but I don't regret it one bit honestly. The 72v batteries look sick for sure but not really worth the price IMO. Most ive seen are over $2k, you could almost buy a used surron or honda grom or something for that price. Glad to hear your loving the vids!
Idk I've never heard of anyone having any issues with the stock pegs strength. Maybe yours are different but like I said In the video I wouldn't run anything like the pegs I received and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Rather just have a solid bike personally but to each their own. Glad your happy with your setup
The biggest issue for me by far is there even being a possibility of the spring failing (like 2:12) and the peg going floppy mid ride. Has that ever happened for you?
You won’t notice when riding and you be surprised how strong they are, mine have held up for 2yrs!! They perfect for squeezing through rocks and easy to install/uninstall!!
you notice when the spring pops off and your peg goes floppy lol. Glad your happy with them but like I said in the video I want my bikes solid and wouldn't use or recommend these pegs personally.
I installed them on the bike and its clear its not a part I would trust or recommend to others, what's left to test? if you want to keep your bike solid don't use these pegs

Can you specify more which Amazon pegs these were? There’s like a ton of pairs on there
any pegs with this same design regardless of brand. They are the most common ones you see on amazon.

Get the gritshift ones, they are cheaper than warp 9
I got similar pegs and just added spacers next to the springs
but the space where the spring catches is wider on the amazon pegs regardless. How did you stop the spring from falling in like @2:12
@ I use spacers/ washers to make up the ga
lol litteraly just bought these then saw your video. I’ll give em a try
I feel that I did too😂 some people seem to not mind them so hopefully they work for your needs
The peg may be thicker but it's made of a cheap white metal. Purple ones are way stronger. Iv been riding them over a year now. 😊
