      Mango Men of Homestead. I’m guessing it was part of the planetary releases years ago maybe? Io being a moon of Jupiter. Just a guess.

    My sentiments exactly about PPK: "like candy." How does Io compare to Lemon Zest and Orange Sherbet? Better? Do your PPK trees grow straight up and very tall like the ones I've seen (at friends' houses)? That would be my only complaint about PPK. And sometimes the skin is bitter. How is it that you know nothing about Io? You should have picked Dr. Campbell's brain!

      I like PPK best of the three and better than Io overall. Our PPK is a slow grower. It’s between two old live oaks, so the upright growth pattern could be due to shade from the east and west. We didn’t see Dr Campbell when we stopped by. They were quite busy with customers and I didn’t want to take up the rest of the families time with lots of questions.

      @@SulcataGrove Always ask lots of questions. That's my philosophy. It drives my wife crazy (but that's not why I do it).

    What is the original name of this mango, I tried to look it up and could not find any information online about this mango?

    • @SulcataGrove
      @SulcataGrove  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do not know the background on this mango. It was from mango men of homestead and I assume part of the planetary mango series of fruits when Dr Campbell worked at Fairchild.
