@@IRCTireUSAMoto yeah, this channel is fantastic. I stopped riding 8 years ago, at that point there was literally no one explaining any of this and all our riding was trial and error. Watching your videos for one evening has been a revelation. Think I’ll go buy another bike and start riding again.
You're a master at breaking down techniques and dumbing them down for us. You're truly appreciated by so many and hopefully we'll be scheduling another class with you this fall. 🤟
I lol at the title and thumbnail vid sample, if this is intermediate, I'll never even reach beginner. Yet after viewing the hoping drills, I've learned something, I will be working on this, the instruction is very good, well detailed, not just fragments.
Great video! I'm definitely one of those who's above beginner and below expert, so this video will keep me busy for quite a time of practicing... I kind of naturally came to these drills on my own, but was not really determined to keep training them, just did few repetitions time to time... And now thanks to your vid I'll be more focused on those.. You're great teacher, Rich, thanks a lot!
I truly enjoy watching all of these videos and have learned so much. I was away from riding for about 20 years and to have expert guidance was something not readily available back in my day. A bit scary trying to learn so much information but I really appreciate all that you share! Love my KTM 300 XC W!
I’ve been implementing these techniques for a long time. I practice in my yard a lot and on the trail. Passers by my house probably think I’m an idiot, but hey it works and really helps my slower, technical ability. The more precise you can be the better offf you are.
@@IRCTireUSAMoto I live right beside a county road. Back in the country here in East Tennessee. People will literally stop and look, most shake their heads, and keep going lol. I try to keep my skills sharp lol. A lot of these techniques you teach I have mastered and they really do help when you use them on the trail.
As usual a fantastic explanation, and demonstration, of how to develope, and master a needed skill. One day I hope to meet, and take a course form, the amazing, Rich Larson!
Thank you for these videos Rich your an animal on that machine. Since I started watching your videos my riding technique has gotten a whole hell of a lot better. I appreciate these videos.
Thank you so much for making these videos. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!! I have been riding for 30 years and continue to work at my skills. Your break downs and explanations help so much. I have already implemented many of your suggestions and notice a difference.
Excellent man - Thanks - you've explained to me what I do when I do it well - BUT up till now know why!!! - now I'll practice and do it hopefully even better
My understanding of the flywheel inertia is like the impact screw driver. Think about a stripped screw and you can’t turn it but spin the screw driver like a spinning tire on low traction surface. When you can’t turn a stuck screw with a regular screw driver, the sudden brutal force provided by the impact screw driver can help the tip find enough friction to turn the screw.
These are fantastic videos. I have never before heard someone be able to so clearly articulate his hands on experience into words that so many people and understand. On another note.. what kind of bike is that??
i come have an expert mountain biking background and i switch over to dirtbike recently. i intuitively understood loading the fly wheel before i knew what i was doing. i would do the same thing with my legs on a mountain bike approaching obstacles.
Hey Rich - I'm a 54 year old former MX rider that has gone 'all-in' to trails and Enduro riding (not Hard Enduro) and learning its a whole new ballgame. I ran across your videos a few months back and you provided some simple (sometimes boring) drills to work on that made sense for Mortals. I've gone through a few techniques over the past month or so and put in the Reps and WOW... One thing I see you do a lot that I would like you to break down is your lunge move... like when you're straddling and obstacle, right foot on brake, left foot on surface, and you pull back on the bike to load it and then lunge your body forward as you release the clutch. A lot going on there. Was hoping you could break that down and possibly a simple/safe way to practice it. If I can add that move to the arsenal I'm already learning from you that would help eliminate one of the major obstacles I struggle with the most. Riding is much more fun these days now that I ride better and its keeping me off the ground as well. Thx Todd
Oh, I forgot to add. I recently started rocking the IRC 33s on my YZ250x and it automatically upped my Game. May have to drop one on my Factory Sherco as well. I may not be able to ride like Rich but I can at least try to look like Rich.
@@IRCTireUSAMoto That's what I was looking for. Time to put in some reps and see how it translates. Mastering this, I'm sure will give me confidence to tackle some things I would normally pass up. Thx Todd
Love that you're gonna go more independent on the flywheel. Would love more trottle/ clutch sounds. AND on a four stroke!!!! 2 strokes a so light. I'd appreciate that!!!
Most hard enduro guys use 2 strokes for the weight, but also the ability to lug the engine. 2 strokes only need about half the rpms to stay alive. A lot less bogging Nice last name aha
Hey, Rich. I'm a big fan of yours and IRC tire (VE-33s on my Beta 200rr). I live in Taiwan, people here use to speak chinese (mandarin). I really love your technique video, and I'd like to introduce them to our riders. However, most enduro riders in my country have poor English-listening ability. I want to translate your video and send you the chinese subtitle. Hope you can understand.
Hey, really appreciate your videos and just the sharing of hard earned knowledge. Question... do you lower your bike? Is that a "done" thing with hard enduro riders? I find it amazing how unassuming most dirt bikers are in stature and appearance but, when riding the dabs, easy on / offs, the flat footing through the most gnarly ground .. I'm 6' and just are not able/talented??? enough to walk a bike like that... Thanks much for the vids..
Great thanks to IRC for supporting such a great enduro technical knowledge! Watching every video, keep going! Rich, your explanations are pretty good, may be you could improve it by explaining your clutch and other controls engagement points while showing stop frames while playing obstacle shots.
Tremendous ability to clearly explain what's going on is as amazing as the riding skills. It's a privilege to watch these videos.
Our pleasure! Thanks for the support!
Well said, Ditto :)

Rad skills!
What tire do you recommend for trail riding
In rocky terrain?
(Black Hills South Dakota)
Just an idea, but can you also mention when there is any difference when using a 4-stroke bike?
Have to get one. We plan on it in the future.
SERIOUS QUESTION! I have one bike, 4 stroke 450, should i try to practice low speed wheelie balance on my main bike?
You're amazing
Like someone else said; 'I'm not intermediate', though
I thought I might be getting close lol. I have a long
way to go.
Hi. What sag do you run with this type of riding? Thanks
When performing a pivot turn how much are you pulling back vs using the clutch to get the bike up and keep it there?
Mostly clutch. You really shouldn't be working too hard.
@@IRCTireUSAMoto sounds like I got work todo! Thanks!
What front tire is that chief?
Thats an IRC that is coming out soon!
Great 👏👏👏
SOLID!
Thanks!
I'm yet to find a bike to master these skills...are 2strokes better than 4strokes...we have limited choice 100cc two strokes or 150cc 4strokes
Ok, after about 10 yeas of riding and after watching this, I might be just below beginner stage 😉
It's all about compressing your front suspension..about how many inches????
Here’s you comment, cool videos ..
What the weight of your flywheel?
Your page is it a hashtag page? I didn’t find you
Good S***!!!
