This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Aydin in EU4. Historically, Aydin did a lot of raids against venice, byzantium and other aegean islands. So much, that pope declared a seperate crusade against them. They also helped byzantium defend against rebels.

18:23 Hosokawa on the great powers list is definitely something I did not expect to see. Polotsk is the only Byelorussian culture country so I would suggest to do something connected to this fact. Belarus is known for potatos which came from South America, Peru to be specific so conquering all of Peru as Polotsk sounds like a great time. Second Idea is to conquer all off the White Sea trade note, because Belarus is translated to White Ruthenia

@@AGrumpyPanda Yes, that's probably what happened. I've just never seen any daimyo on GP list, because they always form Japan. But weirdly enough later in this video Japan is nowhere to be seen on that list
Hosokawa is the strongest Daymio so it's not that surprising, although it's rare to see Japan not unified by Ashikaga

Trading favors for trust will also make your allies less desire the lands you own.
So if you have an ally who threatens to break your alliance because they desire your land or because you are allied to their rival you can prevent the alliance breaking most times by going up to 100 trust.

By the end of this series I wonder if Hawk is gonna make a World-Conquest video but he has to start as a releasable. Would be very unique to see, considering just how many releasables there are.

6:26, there is a reason why people often do culture shift shenanigans when forming countries to get those ideas. For example Lambda did it as Venice->Tibet->Khoshuud for his Rome speedrun

But You did a mistake which releasing Byzantine while you have İstanbul, it causes to switch its culture to Greek. If you want to avoid that you should keep İstanbul for yourself.

I'm trying to get the achievement where I form Rum as the Karaman and he just makes it look so much easier from an even harder start. Maybe I'm just dumb
To be fair he has something in the neighbourhood of 8000 hours in the game.
I guess it is somewhat easier to defeat a powerful nation if you start as their vassal. Because other power full nations are likely to support independence, while if you start independent, they won't likely ally you. So you can destroy the nation in the first war, like Red Hawk did by taking Constantinople.
As Polotsk is in BelaRUS, they need to conquer whole Rus: Ruthenia and Russia regions (+ Lithuania to make them not exist)

Polotsk should be a very enjoyable campaign since it is quite easy to break free with Muscowy's help and since there are so little orthodox nations you could even PU them.

Sugla resident here. LOVED IT! Aydın people have very distinct dialect that should have give them some kind of penalty though but of course coming with balancing bonuses cause they're very lovely :D

Ottomans usually tech up faster than everyone else, but if you get lucky and their initial ruler gets hunting accidented early, they can be super slow. 3-3-1, they may be stuck with that for decades. Would have made for a great reconquest vassal, if the goal were not for them to not exist.

Hey RedHawk, awesome video as always, just a tip, the only province worth assigning to your vassal and giving it that way in a reconquest war, is the war target, any other province is better to give it back from the "return core" tab, because it massively reduces liberty desire and increases opinion. :)

Hi Red Hawk, you could stop someone from supporting your subjects independence by decrease the relationship between your subject and the supporter. Did it sometimes now in a few games and it worked almost every time.
Hey man, I think forming some other country in releasebles, at least in the "late" game, won't be so bad. You still have lots of times to showcase the specific country, while presenting long-term play for players looking for unusual starts. Maybe for some of your longer runs.
