- Muay Korat is a Muay Boran style from North-East Thailand, one of the four famous Regional Styles, it had many active and famous fighters. Muay Thai Korat is pretty straightforward and has unique features. It has 5 Master Fundamental Techniques, and 21 Ancient Fundamental Techniques, with leg takedowns, headbutts, the cartwheel kick, and much more.

Muay Nam is a hybrid Muay Boran style that I've founded to achieve maximux effectiveness and efficiency in extreme combat sports and self-defense.
Its repertoire is made of around 40% Muay Boran (13 styles) and Muay Thai, 40% ancient European martial arts and Croydon Boxing System, 8% Aikijujutsu, 2% Jeet Kune Do, and 10% other modern and ancient martial arts.

@@Vayiram- Yeah, that's true to, Thais tried to optimize their system to translate it from weapon fighting to empty hand fighting fast, and to reduce the time that it takes to train in both, while also becoming proficient in one if training the other. The vertical fist was also used to punch while holding a sword, Muay Chaisawat uses this configuration too.

@@abrahamlincoln6201 I got you. The Mae Mai Kru have a yellow background, the Mae Mai Boran have a blue background. The videos with green and orange background, and the oldest one with blue, are drills.

Who do you think is the greatest Muay Korat fighter in the Thai stadiums? Weerapol Sahaprom? He’s from Nakhon Ratchasima as well
I don't think he trained in Muay Korat since he was raised in Saraburi province.
Actual Muay Korat disappeared from Thai Stadiums, perhaps the last one who used some Muay Korat techniques was Sagat, like the vertical fist for example.
There was also a Muay Korat fighter who had various matches in the border with Myanmar, and one ended with the death of his opponent.

Absolutely yes
Does height matters in Muay Thai fight
Yes, having a longer reach is definitely an advantage, but if you are shorter than your opponent there are still some strategies that you can employ to transform this apparent "disadvantage" into strenght.

You know, I've seen many masters know Muay Boran techniques but actually dont know how to use those techniques in actual combat, why is that?
Because they only learned the techniques and never fought with them. Knowing a technique is useless if you don't understand the timing or set up for it, all these things comes with sparring and real fighting, something which is not done enough in Muay Boran.
