I have been following this programme and it really gives a immersion level in Language , straight from the native speakers. But, I think it has to be lengthier than asking just a question to everyone. Now you have to move on to more discussions . One of the best that I have seen is the interview of a Politician by Cari. It can be a mix of a light one and a slightly formal one . Some of the things that come to my mind are
1. What are the mistakes that you often hear from Non Native German speakers and why do you think they do it. This can have more lively answers and can be a little longer than a few pep words like in this editions.
2.What are the strengths or germans you think..1. Culturally , 2. economically 3. politically. One gets to learn a lot through these questions but in a nice and animated way.
3. If you are given three choices to make a change in German what would be it.. Historically , or an event , or the presence.., just anything.
4.Outsiders envy cars, technology and admire Germany and respect the country for many reasons. Reciprocally, which country do you appreciate and what for?. It can be culture, techonology , politics, history or just anything.
These type of questions offer more dimensions. Though there are many paid versions already in the internet , they are nowhere close to easy languages - this is fresh and full of life.

It is always difficult to make a mix between short and funny videos and delivering more valuable content for advanced learners. We try to meet both goals by providing episodes on different topics and backgrounds again and again. It's definitely helpful and highly appreciated to receive such detailed feedback as yours - we'll try our best to realize at least one of these ideas soon :)

Easy Languages Thanks Cari. I did watch a few episodes of yours from the earlier days and I see the subscribers grow in numbers which is fantastic. I revisited a few of your videos and I should say there are many many good ones with longer conversations. The renewable energy, pranks at young age, TED , elections, christmas eve, and your visits outside of Munchen and such. In short , most of them are very good with rich variety of vocabs. In this episode it was just one subject and one word, and its slang that the episode is revolving around. If you summed up at the end there were not many useful ones . Of course it adds a little zing thing to the viewers. This is not a negative comment , but just a broader idea on how varied in vocabulary there can be in an episode. If you don't mind I will keep my thoughts flowing from time to time . Pia and Lisa , brings back to those days basic , but it is worth it to strengthen the basics.

We are aware that this episode isn't much about building up useful vocabulary. It was rather meant as a joke - and as an incentive to talk about German culture as well. We assumed that especially advanced learners - and even Germans itself would find it interesting, cause most people wouldn't necessarily be aware how rich the German language is when it comes to that topic. I personally find it quite funny - also in regard to the urban myth that cultural groups would come up with a reasonably bigger variety of words that evolve around topics that really matter to them :)

Easy Languages Thank you Cari. Pls do not even think that I am unappreciative of your efforts. It is fantastic and livelier than any other videos that I have so far seen. As you said , it is indeed to have different flavour to them all.
Do you know that as an outsider we think that Germans are proud and mad about their machines. We always take pride in saying " this is German make that we have recently bought". But as Germans , are you aware of your own achievements. What are the best Global brands that Germans are aware of?

ganeshmourthy2000 Super interesting topic. Due to our history Germans are usually not raised in pride of anything - whether it be machines or anything else that others know as typical "German achievements". Personally I even consider it as odd to be proud of anything that you have not personally contributed to - and I feel like that many Germans share this same understanding, due to our education. We should definitely do an episode about that :)

beer already with 16, everything else like vodka by 18. And in Germany you can drink almost anywhere, cause saufen makes up 50% up of the German culture.

Ich war gerade in Berlin und ich hab es geliebt! Stayed at my girlfriend's place in Kleinmachnow and got to frequent the city. Great town! Drank a bit too much at the Karneval der Kulturen and ate some great food at curry 36. I'll be moving to the Stahnsdorf area later this year and hopefully I'll run into you so I can practice my German.
Im Brasilien (ganz im Süd) kostet ein Bier im Durchschnitt 2 Euro/L... aber so, ihr seid schon berühmte Leute! Hier studieren wir Deutsch zwar mit ihren Videos an der Uni! Das Video wo Rabea und Antra Beispiele geben, das consonantal-, vocalic "r" zu ausprechen, war echt hilfreich!

The more the merrier. I know English is full of crazy expressions too, which can be confusing to Germans for sure. Your videos really make my day. Ich bin aus ein muslimisches Land. Ich glaube, dass jeder Mensch muslimische Meinung über Alkohol kennt. Aber ich unterstütze solche Videos, weil es ein Grund für gute Laune ist und mann kann einmal pro Woche etwas trinken. Ich habe so viel während des Videos gelacht. Ich vertrete, dass Ausländers die Kultur des Landes mindestens respektieren müssen

Ich bin Indonesiener, und ich habe Easy German seit 1. Folge geschaut. Jetzt wohne ich in Darmstadt :-) Und ja, für mich ist es ein bisschen kommish, wenn man in der Straße trinkt oder ein Bier bringt. Weil in Asien, inbesonders Indonesien, man außer Kneipe oder Disko nicht trinken darf. Ich bedanke mich für viele Informationen über deutsche Kultur, denn das hilft mir, um in Deutschland Leben anzupassen. Viele Grüße von Darmstadt :-)

Wenn man seine Betrunkenheit auf (britischen) Englisch nennen möchte, kann man fast jedes Wort mit dem Suffix -ed verwenden,. Zum Beispiel die englische Antwort zu der Frage: „Hey Kumpel, wie war gestern abend?” könnte sein: “Awesome dude, I was completely laptoped” oder etwas anderes. Wir sind offensichtlich ein bisschen fauler als die Deutsche. Diese ist übrigens ein tolles Video. Prost :)

In Russland kann man nicht überall trinken und der Alkohol wird nur von 9 bis 22 Uhr verkauft. Also:
- darf mann überall trinken? Ich meine in einem Park oder auf der Straße.

"Sich einen hinter den Knorpel kippen" fand ich immer schön, oder sicht einen "pitschern". Letzteres kommt glaube ich davon, dass wir hier alle "ganz alter Ruhrpottadel" sind. Die Polen wissen bescheid.
"Sich einen verkasematuckeln" fand ich auch lustig, hört man aber nur noch selten.
"Sich einen (ver)löten, einen plästern, einen süppeln" - da fällt mir tatsächlich noch viel ein.
Entweder sagt man das heute alles gar nicht mehr, oder das ist zu regional. Ich weiß es nicht.

You must use the word zu after a comma, for example: "ich versuche, ihm Zu helfen"
Ich empfehle dir, vieles Wasser Zu trinken
Zu can also be used as a preposition or as a verb's separable particle, an example would be : "Mach das Fenster zu"-- from the verb Zumachen which means "to close"
The word Auf has several meanings, for example: "das Buch liegt Auf dem Tisch"
"Das Buch ist Auf Englisch"- the book is in English
"Mach die Tür auf"
I highly recommend you to use the Pons.eu dictionary, there you can find many sentences with Auf and Zu. I hope this helps!

Many of these so-called synonyms are actually euphemisms. A euphemism is generally not considered a synonym, but a figure of speech.

Ich denke Bier ist sehr teuer, vielleicht 3 or 4 Euros.
Jean François Bier so von 3€ aus der Flasche in Kreuzberg bis so maximal 4,00€, also hat r93 absolut recht. Restaurant kann mal teurer sein, so 4-5€ für 0.5L.
Im Späti (Night Shop) kostet es von 1,20€ bis 1,60€ je nach Bezirk pro Flasche.
Danke für Ihre Antworten ! Hier in Polen, ein Bier kostet ungefähr 2 bis 3€ in einem Restaurant. Und die billigsten kann man für 1-2 Euro (0.3- 0.5l) in Kneipen kaufen.

Ja, in meinem Land ist es nicht einmal erlaubt, Bier zu trinken, es sei denn an bestimmten Orten, so dass man selten Leute auf der Straße sieht, die es trinken.
