My grandparents were married here in 1937! They were James (Jack) Ritchie and Margaret Florence Ritchie, née Hopley.

@@JaneEasterbrook-bn3ux Hi Jane. Did they? A beautiful church, for them to have married in! + they'd have experienced the pre-war church "with its original stained glass."

Brill timing Luke I was just watching a Tudor documentary on Lady Margaret Beaufort Countess of Richmond (was this Church named after her?). I share the same G Grandmother x 17 as Henry VIII called Lady Margaret De Beauchamp thanks for sharing 👌💎🙏

Hi Louise. Ah, that was good timing, ay 😊. I thought that tbh "as the church was mainly constructed during the reign of her son King Henry VII" = But, while doing the research for this one, I discovered that the church "was named in honour of St Margaret of Antioch." That's fascinating Louise "it's interesting what a family tree can turn up, isn't it." You may enjoy one of my mini clip videos "which is the prayer book of Margaret Beaufort Countess of Richmond." Only 13 seconds long though, as you're not really supposed to record there = I couldn't resist it though "with such a fascinating Lady." 💙✌️

@@londonluke6487 Amazing Luke that is great to know which Margaret it was named after. Thanks so much I will check out your Margaret Beaufort video too. I suspect a lot if us are related to royalty in some way if you look back far enough. Best wishes

@@louisep4805 Hi Louise. Hope you're well? No problem at all 😊 The Tudor's are a fascinating era to study, aren't they. & Lady Margaret "was such a tough old survivor." Yes, it would surprise many "to know just how many people today = are descended from Royalty" either through the legitimate lines or the illegitimate lines. Sorry for my late reply = have been mega busy lately. Take care & best wishes 😊✌️
