Yay, more DC! ♥ There are a few performances with a live band on the "it's live" channel, if you want to check it out, I highly recommend it. And for Justice specifically I'd also recommend the "dancEAR" live performance for the live vocals! ♥
Chase!!! You are the specific person who got me into Dreamcatcher. I'm a huge fan of them now and going to see them live next month! Hope you're doing well. Always good to see you check these ladies out :)
Yes! Your Piri reaction three years ago got me into Dreamcatcher, and I can't thank you enough. I'm going to my third DC concert in November, and I can't wait to hear Justice live!
Thanks for the reaction. This song and their previous one (OOTD) are together part of a duology about the pitfalls of social media and specifically the almost narcisistic way some people use it (especially celeberties). This is more prominent in the first part (OOTD) in which they play the narcisistic "Villans". In this song they are the "Heroes" striving for justice and battling the obsession with the crown (representing this unhealthy longing for perfection). There is a whole Alternative Reality Game surrounding these two comebacks adding to the story. Both songs are really good and different but retain their rock base.
There are seven members of the group in an Official capacity. There are also some Reactors (especially Sera Ryu who was herself a K-Pop Idol and is now a Soloist) and some Fan Channels which are sometimes considered to be 'extra members' by the fandom, InSomnia. From my perspective, the fan channel called insomnicsy is be THE BEST fan channel on all of TH-cam. Any other group or band on Earth would be LUCKY to have such a loving and genuine fan channel so dedicated to them. Obviously 6/7 of the Dreamcatcher members are Korean and that is the language they most often speak. For us dumb/ lazy International fans who have not gotten around to learning the Korean language (yet), insomnicsy has provided English translations to MANY of DC's conversations (live broadcasts, whatever), to their shenanigans on talk shows and variety shows, to their back-stage antics, etc. insomnicsy has really opened up Dreamcatcher content to the rest of the English-speaking world who otherwise would not be able to understand what was happening; we would miss out on JiU's Dad Jokes and all the other goings-on. That makes the fandom call insomnicsy the un-official eighth member of the group because they brought in who-knows-how-many fans to see Dreamcatcher content besides just the Music Videos; this has helped the group immensely in the International market. insomnicsy even made a series that has (so far) lasted four years in a row in completion (and they have started the fifth year for 2024). The 'This Is _' series is meant to showcase each member separately so that we (the outside world) can get to know more about the ladies. This makes things much more personal, especially for the International fans, by allowing us to know what kind and generous and fun-loving people these ladies are when they are not shooting for Music Videos or performing on stages. More love to spread around (which, obviously, the whole world needs now). But EVERY video on insomnicsy's channel is lovingly dedicated to Dreamcatcher. You won't find content about anything but DC on that channel and by seeing how often the uploads happen and what the content is, we know it is the creator's ONLY project outside of their personal life/ work. Dreamcatcher Company really should hire insomnicsy full-time since they LOVE this group so much and has already done so much to promote them!
@@wuriyantowidodo956 Thank you. I really hope she knows the full extent of just how loved she is. She did (and continues to do) SO MUCH for us InSomnia. :)
The most surprising notification! I just went through and rewatched your old Dreamcatcher reactions because your insight is always great, but had given up on anything new, and here we are :) if you’re interested in exploring them again, Hammerfall’s guitarist worked on their song No More and made it *heavy*, which you might enjoy.
In an industry that's saturated with rearranged tracks and repetitive consonants, I'm glad a group like Dreamcatcher exists to continue doing actual song-songs..
Thank you for reacting to Dreamcatcher again, I have been waiting! I would love to see you react to their Apocalypse trilogy (Maison - Vision - Bonvoyage).
Yes, I'm a warrior. Fight me! 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. There is also a lot of imagery about death and legendary figures like Valkyries or greek goddesses and legends. Reddit user PaintMeYaBasic has managed to identify these paintings in the MV: Hero by Edward Burne-Jones (from the tale of Hero and Leander), Valkyrie and a Dying Hero by Hans Makart, Hero and Leander by Salvator Rosa and finally "Justice" by Kenyon Cox in the center back. In the tale of Hero and Leander from Greek mythology, Hero is actually a priestess of Aphrodite (Venus in the Roman myths), so that is not the same as the hero who is taken from the battlefield by a Valkyrie in the other painting. But OOTD has the line "I'm Venus, Nephthys, call me a Goddess". It is likely there is a connection. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcissism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for so many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years.
Please react to the extraterrestrial voice in the phenomenal performance (very big show, more than 100 musicians on stage) - Diana Ankudinova. Art of Hans Zimmer Soundtrack from the movie Dune The first Dune film, released in 2021, received 6 Oscars out of 10 Oscar nominations. Hans Zimmer - film score composer and music producer. He has won two Oscars and four Grammys, and has been nominated for three Emmys and a Tony. Zimmer was also named on the list of Top 100 Living Geniuses. Full video name: Diana Ankudinova. Art of Hans Zimmer Soundtrack from the movie Dune (the best version from St. Petersburg) This video is from Diana's second official channel - "Diana Ankudinova Life" This channel only features live performances by Diana and there are no copyright restrictions.
My very good man, the new Slaughter to Prevail should so be on your list!! As well is Nail5 by Wage War if you are interested in some metal with some fantastic groove built into it. I would love to hear someone with your expertise (you) provide insight to it :)
Good song, do they all only sing/rap or do any of them play actual instruments? Just curious. Completely unrelated, but Imminence just released a new video of Come What May performed live with a string quartet in Sweden, definitely worth a listen my friend @ChaseCarneson
Since they are still a kpop group, they are mostly performers (sing, dance, rap) with some occasional songwriting credits to their names for a handful of songs. Someone like Younha is more singer-songwriter who doesn’t really dance but does write almost all her songs and performs live / play piano or guitar. Her latest album is almost all rock and really good.
Yay, more DC! ♥

You actually got me into both Dreamcatcher and Band-Maid and they’ve been my favorite groups almost 4 years running now.
Thank you, sir.
Me too! I got into DC because of Chase!!! Crazy to think about. I've been to so many of their concerts too since then 😂
Chase!!! You are the specific person who got me into Dreamcatcher. I'm a huge fan of them now and going to see them live next month! Hope you're doing well. Always good to see you check these ladies out :)
Hey Chase! Thanks for revisiting Dreamcatcher! Always nice to see you picking up old groups/bands or entirely new ones. Have a nice day!

Dreamcatcher THE coolest group in K-pop
Thank you for another reaction to Dreamcatcher.
Justice is again another masterpiece, i dont know how they do it.
Dude, it's been years. 👍
They can sing, like their life depends on it. I was lucky to see them live, and maaaan, they dance and sing. It was an experience.

Justice is great, but the other songs from the album are 🔥🔥🔥
You're the first person who mentions the drums. I always thought the drums were the main instrument of this song.
Yayy more Dreamcatcher!

Dude, I love that I get DC + metal on your channel. I dunno if you do black metal but I highly recommend ACOD.
Edit: thanks for the DC content.
Thank you my friend. I’d absolutely be up for black metal. Feel free so send some suggestions.
finally!!✨✨✨
Hello if you could check out Rolling Quartz (Korean girl Band K-rock) I think you would like them. Thank you for the Dreamcatcher reaction
If anybodys interested there's another group kind of like this called Purple Kiss, also South Korean. Less pop/rock more pop/rap.
Just wondering if we can expect any more Yesterwynde? Would love a full album reaction but any more would be epic. Cheers
