In this Autodesk Fusion 360 TH-cam tutorial, Dylan Smith demonstrates how to use the new 5-axis capabilities in the Fusion 360 Manufacturing workspace. Dylan will demonstrate all the primary mode options, methods to control the preferred tilt, different and powerful options to avoid collisions, and ways to ensure the toolpath stays within the limits of your machine tool. When we use all the options together, we can create very efficient and powerful multi-axis toolpaths.

I love how none of the dialog boxs block the model and are kept small. This is excellent user interface design.
Tried it, tool not cutting anything and going insane until it crashes. works great
Awesome
Is it possible to use wear compensation in 5 axis tool path ? The pots fails
Hi
Can this be restricted to fourth only?
Hey Folks, still only ball and bull nose bit capability in machining extension?! Seems like a crazy limitation for an extension costing over $1K a year.
I think you’d faint if you heard what that extension costs in mastercam lol
do the new features come with the machine extension?? if so I don"t have access to it yet.
Yup. This is simultaneous 5-axis, so it's in the Machining Extension
This is currently hidden behind a feature flag, so you will need to go into your preferences > manufacture > Multi-axis options for 3D strategies, turn this option on and they will appear in the toolpath dialog.
We use HSMWorks, to add the machining extension is $1600/yr, over 3 times the cost of a seat of HSMWorks or Fusion. Oh, and it does not work with HSMWorks. Way to gouge us Autodesk.
👍👍
Most of this is just listing things out and not explaining what they do. This is not a very good tutorial.
