Excellent video and explanation, thank you. Can you share a similar video for setting up lathes with live tooling in the turret? or to be able to use holders with multiple cutting holders on both main and sub-spindle? I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you - that was really well explained. The example you used was deceptively simple, even though the machine was complex. My own model of a much less complex machine had many more components, but the key from your video, for me, was to create the X/Y/Z/Base/etc. 'bins' and just drop each component into the relevant one. After that it was straightforward :) One comment, if I may - the audio comes over like you are talking on a telephone or walky-talky and I find it quite harsh to listen to, which is a shame, because the content is excellent. Subbed, anyway! :)
Every week Phil B is trying to improve that. Although he is only 5'8' he is a very loud guy and tends to blow out his microphone. Might be worth Subscribing to keep poking fun at him till he gets it fixed. :)
Im building a vertical lathe i have my z,x and c axis(spindle all working perfectly) but the turrett wont show up in setup machine model i have it added in kinematics with it all defined to start in my kinematics i have static with all of my base selected then z i have all of my z axis and then my x axis under z and then the turrett cuz its mounted on the x but rides up and down with the Z axis then i have a rotary axis (C) and main spindle under that. Ive made sure i didnt have the turrett accidentally selected in anything else in setup machine model ive restarted fusion idk why the turrett isnt in my setup machine model? Example in my kinematics: Static Z X Turret C Main spindle
I’m trying to setup a Hurco 5 axis. I set all the kinematics correctly. All the movements do as they should buy instead of the table turning the whole machine flips. I grounded to the static objects. Idk what I did wrong
Hello very helpful video,, I have a CNC with two vertical spindles and two horizontal spindles on the side can you also make this machine in machine creation, the closest machine is a regular 3 axis cnc and will need to add the additional two horizontal spindles, could you help me with that?
very nicely explained and presented
Glad you liked it

How to creat lathe model in fusion360 sir
i cant even work out how to open a machine model lol
