I am a Lutheran psychiatrist and you are absolutely correct about victimhood. I am retired and spent 30 years treating people abused by Satanic cults. Those who fared best were those whose baptismal faith supported them in their healing process. It gave them the strength to work through their trauma and reach a point of forgiveness and peace in the midst of the storm of painful memories and disrupted relationships. Bless you pastor.

Do you have any off-the-cuff (off the record) recommendations for someone who perseverates, or spends an inordinate amount of time and energy exploring philosophical hypotheticals-beginning nearly always with a negative perspective-with the goal of “resolving” problems and “answering” questions (eg trying to synthesize unlikely or seemingly contradictory teachings in Christianity)? I know I packed a lot in there, but I imagine you can pick-out a sense of what I deal with. Of course I’m just asking about little tips you might have-not for professional psychiatric help. Thanks!
Ps. I thought I’d add a quick edit to say that a secular/atheist psychiatrist has helped but that he blamed a high iq and too many diverse interests (with the time and money to pursue it all). It’d be nice to have someone respond in a less reductive or spiritually hollow way. God bless!

The four theological pillars can be used to answer the big questions of life.
    Now that is phenomenal!
    Thanks.

‘The solution is the death of Jesus’. That is so deep and profound. Thank you for this study.

Can only say Amen! Case in point: I was able to forgive my exwife the second Christmas after her various antics, not least of which was ignoring the Lord's teaching on marriage. ALL that is being spoken here came to me by the Holy Spirit: especially the "Christ became our brother"/Redeemer/Savior and this changes all relationships, even one riddled by legal arrangements and decrees. I can still love her, just really differently than ever before. Powerful, our Savior is!

Christianity is for many a way of life (works, deeds). For others, it is faith to Jesus AND a way of life. For some, more elaborated people, it is faith and deeds but above all not to be selfish. The Reformation proved that all these opinions are not what the Gospel really teaches. These opinions are just different aspects of the theology of glory or synergism. The Reformation proved, but now not even the 10% of modern day so called ''protestantism'' declares it, that none of these opinions is the Gospel. The Gospel is ''you are not a sinner because you sin, but you sin because you are a sinner'' and...this is...forgiven...by faith...a gift of God. You are at the same time fully a sinner and 100% a justified man and woman. This is monergism. This is lutheranism. This is the Gospel.

But Jesus DID become sin. Perhaps you meant to say that Jesus' birth was not Him becoming sin, but that's an important distinction.
    2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Defrauded. No pastor ketchup man. Empty promise from the answer man. How much mountain dew in that mug?. At first, he was novel, refreshing, winsome. Wore me out, got on my nerves after a few. This guy's got good brain, friendly Spirit, but it's all one tidy package. Plus he's a distracted driver, an overconfident danger to fellow travellers and himself. Watch out for that sin of self confidence that leads to hubris or damnation. Should cross himself more than morning and bedtime. Rush hour would be advisable. Michael the Archangel, defend this nice man in battle. In Christ the Victor. Amen.
