How to join
Major Sahab, you may know this… that the very basis of all martial art forms is Kalleripayyittu of Kerala. This knowledge was spread to China, Japan and other Sout East countries and which got evolved as per the knowledge and requirements of that country.
It would be nice if kalleripayittu is introduced to our armed forces.

It's bitter truth, Tekkan and Vaddakan Moora Kalari is very intense. Bodhi Dharma was the one who travelled spreading knowledge and introduced in countries where he visited. Eventually, it's fighting its survival in Bharata, though still prominent in Kerala. It should be introduced right from schooling age, once it was in gurukul.

Yes it is well known
Kalari is impractical for hand to hand combat, so it has no use for the armed forces. But, Kalari’s real power is healing, from joints to muscle and everything one needs for the body, so that can be introduced.

The real origin of Shaolin Kung Fu is India and the Indian Mother Martial Art is called Kalari payattu that had been propagated by theGreat Indian Monk Bodhi Dharman in China afterwards. This information should have been mentioned in the show.

My respects to Sifu... there are some corrections in the information you have said... It was Cholas who had their Kingdom extended till the Philippines and not the Vijaynagar.... Vijayanagara came in an exsistance way after Cholas..

It is not true yo wrong.kung fu is originate in china. chines warriors use kung fu his all wars kung fu is very old in china kung fu is older than your bodhidharma. But bodhidharma know his india art kalariyapatu and gone china and chines some villeges accept it. kung fu and kalariyapatu very different art kallaripayatu use weapon kung fu use his body power. and not ful true yo movie and history..kung fu is already used by chines warriors not bodhidharma

Move to a better neighborhood / get a good education / get a well-paying job - fu
Secure your premises / take all reasonable precautions - jitsu
Firearm training - do
Basic fitness / lifting weights / sprinting - fu
Boxing, judo, jujitsu, MMA, wrestling, muay thai, kyokushin, sanda, sambo - fu

Shaolin monks were trained by an Indian monk. Shaolin monks took this teaching and evolved it to the animal
Styles they have today.

Shaolin came from Boddhisattva who was Indian but the martial arts did not come from India. They developed it themselves when they were attacked by invaders many times.

I respect shifu ji's view on where to speak how to speak when ti speak but when stated saying about Gandhi the way shifu portrait the how Gandhi used the words for Britishers and we got independence that was something I won't able to digest . We got independence because of subhas Chandra Bose azad hind army.
Kalarippayattu(from Kerala) went to China and became Kungfu
That is just a myth that has our collective ego to own everything behind it.
