Piano hinge and any other hardware will NOT rust if you spray it with Loctite Rust Neutralizer, then a metal primer. Over this, you spray an oil enamel metal paint or use an artist color that is Acrylic but with a lacquer base called Montana Gold. It is German and comes in every color under the sun including gold, silver, copper, bronze, etc. The Rust Neutralizer dries clear and is not a primer. It is a rust bonding agent that chemically neutralizes rust and bonds it to the metal and creates a seal over the metal. The metal primer gives a better sticking surface for your metal paint or Montana Gold paint. After paint dries, make the hinge work back and forth, and oil it up before using. This will renew old hinges too. If there is a lot of rust, use a wire cup brush on your angle grinder and polish it off then follow above steps.
Great bit of kit Shaun even on the video you can see it's good quality and very well made. I couldn't begin to put a price on it but I can say that you get what you pay for and decent gear is never cheap. Good luck with your venture guys. Be safe and be lucky, Wol.

I'm a woodworker and I would charge $750 USD. Scouting troops will do find raisers to buy it. It's a good thing for them because for all their hard work raising their funds they will be proud to have something as nice as the Krokbox. That's a lot of work and you deserve to get a good see for it. Great job guys!

As a cabinet maker, I can say that that is one well made piece of kit. But my god man, what they charge for the baltic birch there is unreal. Here in Texas I pay the equivalent of 18 quid per sheet of 1/2" plywood that measures 5'x5'. But overall I must say, you have a brilliant design and cheers for the concept. ATB

450 undercut the next guy. save time and money with less laser etching. also think about another hinged fold out section attached to the first fold over hinged work space then support it from a slide arm that comes out of the front doors. no other chuck box I've seen lately has that feature. you always need more prep space and serving space. just a thought. great job run with it.
Wonderful design. But a bit overbuilt. You could use1/4 inch plywd or even 1/8 in on the drawers. They don't have to hold 4kilos of horseshoe nails eh? Forks and spoons and paper plates. A can or 2 of beans. Still......overbuilt. but nice plan.
