Thanks for sharing. A few mistakes? Pfffftttt..... You're filming, commenting, playing the game. I would be making all kinds of mistakes doing all of that. I backed the game and very excited about receiving and playing it. One aspect I think I may not like. The tactic? chips you put under a unit. I think that will make it difficult for me to keep track of them. Maybe it would help if they were different colors? I know they prefer to do everything via a chip. It is very intuitive on something like health and pretty neat. The taller the stack the more health they have. Just not sure that a white covered up chip is the best way to convey some things.
Can't disagree with you there. I will say it's MUCH easier to see them when sitting at the table looking from straight on instead of bird's eye view like in the video :)
I'd say not completely, no. You hear the dice clacking against each other, of course, and a bit of noise bumping on the fabric. But it doesn't ADD noise to the affair, like a wooden tower would, if that makes sense :)
@@PublicExecution honestly this is the only one I've owned, sorry! But also, "noiseless" would indicate that you want it to somehow cancel out the sound of dice impacting one another... which would be impossible unless the insides of the tower were somehow entirely noise canceling. I think something like this is the closest you will get!

One or more local units (taken from the supply, organized by faction) are encountered in each battle. Either you will defeat them, meaning they go in the bag, or you will recruit them, meaning eventually they might die in battle and go in the bag. It's a cool system, where you start out with only basic units but more and more interesting ability-heavy units get added as the campaign progresses.
unsure how i missed that! i have been either recruiting them or putting them back in the stadium (if sport) or killing them (remove from game if blood). whoops - so your bag must be chock full!? seems like you would never pull any banes. i’ll have to reread that rule book
You saved me a lot of money :) Good game but not my cup of tea. I prefer Too Many Bones. Keeping the money to purchase the new Gearlocs (Polaris seems awesome)
Yeah - need you to run a 12+ part series to do a whole game so I can experience this vicariously through you until November. Just change the channel name to "One Stop Victorum Shop" - folks'll understand.

I played a few games of Onslaught and understood why there is not a single playthrough beyond the 2nd immortal. Because it is literally impossible to go further with the available resources. Maybe in 1 case out of 50 or even 100. And this is a 100% game-design problem. I doubt that the developers themselves - the creators of the game mechanics have at least once gone through this mode. And they should! And this stupid red die! It is just annoying. Why on Earth do you need a die with the same values on all of its faces??? Why throw it? Overall - a nice presentation, but, in essence, an unfinished game where everything depends on sheer luck (lots, lots, LOTS of luck!!!). Thanks for playthrough, tho. It's great! ))
I don't mind that onslaught gets crazy hard quickly. That's what I expect from survival modes. It's a similar thing in the 20 Strong difficulty modes. It starts hard and goes to stupid levels of impossibility by the end. I'll never play those highest levels, but someone will be happy they exist :)

It’s a very different beast than all their other games, with such an epic campaign, so yeah won’t be for all
